to be honest there's no point, you'll hardly notice the difference, and anybody other than you won't even notice it at all. i'd recommend you save your money for something else really. sorry if it's not the kind of reply you want but just trying to stop you wasting money mate :)

Yeah, everyone will tell you to not bother unless it's atleast 60!

tbh on my 6n i dropped it 60mm and even that didnt make it look low really

my car is lowered 40mm on springs, but they came with the car when i brought it otherwise i would have gone straight to coilovers like i will be at the end of the month hopefully.

My car is lowered 40mm (by the previous owner), not worth the effort as it looks almost stock.

Next to a stock 6n2, I think mines sitting slightly lower than -40mm in this pic as there are 2 x12" subs in a massive boot-filling enclosure.

hold crap i see what you all mean now. be a waste of money. so 60mm be better. thing is you cant lower 60mm with out changing shocks as well can you.??

anybofdy got any pics of 60 mm?? what i realy want is a height so stop it looking like the qe2. get rid of the massive gap in the arches mainly back.

what you reccomend beraring in mind that i dont want coilovers. just want springs and if i have to shocks. tempeted by some phil j ones.

60mm springs, still not worth it IMO

this was mine on 60mm springs

It really depends what look you want. If you want out and out slammed so everyone can tell you've done something to lower it then fine. If you want it to look a bit stock but better than the normal ridiculously high ride height then go for somewhere before 40mm-60mm springs. It's true that the every day man in the street won't notice but that's because it will then look normal - not too high like before and not too low!

http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=203683 - I always thought this was a great example of how good a Polo can look when it's only lowered 40mm. I personally like the ride height on Ryekye and Blandy's cars!

It's not completely a waste of time, it depends on what size wheels you're gonna whack on and profile of tyres

I've got 14" p-slots with 55 profile and i don't think it looks that tragic (i would like it a tad lower tho :ninja:)

^ Now that is really nice.

I love a slammed dub as much as the next guy, but a nice clean OEM car really does it for me as well

Sense speaking.

Like that green one too.
