hi as title i have a polo 16v afh that was in my mk2 golf. it comes complete with all ancileries and gearbox it has all mounts on it to go into a mk2 golf if thats what its going to be used for i will provide gearlinkage and other things needed it will come with the ecu key black box and the loom that was needed to put into a mk2 golf. its just had a new clutch less than 100 miles ago, the cam belt was changed before it was removed from the polo. the engine is on around 75-80 thousand miles.

the engine has a polished rocker cover and i have litrally just pulled it out and cleaned the engine and painted the block and gearbox matt black, and the inlet manifold in fresh silver all heat proof paint obviously.

the only thing wrong wit the engine is it realy needs a new thermostat housing as one of the pipes coroded of but i supose if you not to bovered about heating you could make it work without the pipe on lol.

I'm looking for around 450 but open to offers not looking to break it.

I'm only selling as I've decided to go down the diesel route with my mk2 so if you have a mk3 golf with a dielel in id swap my engine for that. cheers rich.

hi mate ye its a 5 speed box and was all running perfect when it came ot about a month ago and ye it was my daily for about 6 months and never skiped a beat!

no afraid not but I'm pretty sure with that conversion you use the mk2 polo stuff mixed with the afh stuff so might be ok I'm not to sure you would have to ask someone more nolagable than me lol! cheers rich

You wont need AFH mounts.

You will use all the MK2 mounts (if you have a 5 speed box, if not ull need 5 speed MK2/3 mounts)

And you will need to modify the front engine mount from the MK2.

Theres a FAQ in the tech section, i suggest reading that before you consider buying an engine. Then you wont need to ask questions in for sale threads
