Passed my test this morning, just been looking at insurance, the cheapest I have got yet is £5000 with eCar, just wondering if anyone knows how to get this down, preferably I want to be on my own insurance to earn no claims, and help is welcome

On your own insurance you could try putting your parents as named drivers, this should bring your insurance down a fair bit

As njwicks said, put your parents on as named drivers, helped bring mine down. Also if it's a car that will be wrote off easily by an insurance company, do what i've done and shove the vol. excess up high :)
