Billing Aquadrome

Featured Replies

Hi, I realise I am new to this forum, and sorry to get off to a grumpy start but....

£10....... Yes £10 f'in quid.

I am yet to attend the Polo Show, this year will be my first. But I have attended lot and lots American car shows at billing, see there on practically every other weekend in the summer.

I like to show our motors at Billing, as does everyone else. And I have to pay £10 to do so. The same as someone in a Kia.

We are creating the show, we are earning Mr Billing Aquadrome money because people come to see OUR cars and we don't even get a slight discount. And the place stinks of sewer and the tip next door. What ever happened to rolling in free of charge because you are the show or at least some sort of discount?

Does this not get on anybody elses tits?

Not really.

Same as going to a show (anywhere) and putting your car on a club stand or in the show n shine. You still have to pay to get in.

Billing have to make money some how. and is a tenner really a lot to pay?

£10 for a day out isn't bad, I addmit that. It's just if we didn't go they wouldn't be getting any £10's. I just think its unfair. Especially as I go there quit abit.

They should follow the shows where if your part of the show you go free or at least with a discount. We pay the same a John in his KA.

pay £15 and stay overnight that way you will get to experience the real show and not just do what someone did last year and turn up for the day, sit in the car not bothering to get out and talk to anyone then go home coz they were bored

I don't think you get to really see what the show is about if you just come up for the day, its more of a social thing than purely a car show.

Billing is a campsite first and a showground second, and the people on the gates aren't car specialists.

Besides, how do you make a distinction between a what counts as a show car and what doesn't?

Should the gate staff let anyone with a Polo into the show?

Or should they assess each one as it comes in - "Yeah, this one's a show car, we'll let it in. Oh, you have to pay, yours isn't good enough..."

It's a social event, as Liz says.

Polo show is a place to get drunk, watch drug dealing northeners set themselves on fire, have drunken races on the go carts and generally have a good laugh... there's also some polo's there to look at

I'd pay £10 just to drive around the whole site to be honest, it's a hilarious place, especially when you get to the mobile homes!

Billing have to make money somehow, they don't care that it's a car show, it doesn't make them any more money than people just camping or going for the day or whatever. It's cheaper than most car shows I've been to

is the saturday night better than the friday?, i finish work at 6pm and getting there isnt really going to happen till Saturday!

It's not a show, it's more just camping and getting smashed in a field.

Don't forget the fair ground rich, there was a stall there last year where you paid for 3 balls to chuck at the Pikey child running it... Well that was Jake's version of the game anyway
