Well today i drove a 300 mile round trip to pick up this little gem :) I am over the moon with it, only problem was the previous owner advanced the timing so it kept cutting out but i put it back to normal and had no other problems!

Its a 1.3 spi 4spd, i dreaded the 4 speed but now i actually am very impressed with it.

It has a 4 branch manifold, some random exhaust with no cat (pre 1992 so it doesnt need one if I'm right?), some random carbon air filter, lowered on springs and shocks, FULL service history , tinted side reps, clear indies, dewipered, '3' ball gearknob and probably abit more but haven't really looked around much as i have been having that much fun driving it

Plans:

Give it a proper polish

Decent wheels, either 14's or 13's but haven't really give it much thought

Have a fiddle with the engine then see where it goes from there but overall I'm very impressed!

Yeah Tornado red.

First thing I would do is invest in some Corrado seats, trust me! The standard seats are horrible!

As for wheels, I'd say go for some 14's!

Aye i quite fancy 14's, the interior seems nice, its dark with like tartanish pattern? Can anyone tell me if those are standard rear lights and interior please :)

The rear lights (if they are genuine) are late spec smoked rears. The seats are from a Genesis! It's not the pattern, it's the way they sit i find horrible, you are sort of perched on top of them Corrado seats you sit much lower down and they are quite hugging!

I'm on the look out for some RA's i think, i know they are just standard G40 wheels but i kinda like them, might remove bumpstrips too

I think the seats are quite comfy tbf.. Really retro too!

i did the trip with him to bring it back and i thought they were spot on for standard seats!!

i dont really think you can call it a red rocket when its got 4 cogs and a 1.3 spi lump

Spotted this g40, was talking to lad for a while and he has owned it since it came out of the factory so had to take a few pics :)

Also got the red stripe on the front as it was missing, excuse the greyness of bumper this is before i waxed it!

Small updates:

New pads on the front so i can finally stop!

GT stripe on the front as it fell off...

First proper clean and polish in my ownership :)

Also managed to blow the fuse that makes my CD player, fag lighter and interior light work :(
