14" wheels on the back , 13" wheels on the front

Featured Replies

Alright guys, basically my 14x8 bands are nearly ready to be powdercoated and put on the coupe, these will be going on the rear. The thing is iv found a problem with the wheels that were going on the front and I cant use them (14x7's) , however I do have access to some rather special 13x7 weller wheels that look a similar design to my banded steel wheels and could go on the front ,Is this actually legal to do? I cant think of any problems it would cause as I can adjust my suspension to the rake it would probably cause.

What you think?

Good news. Wanted to hear from someone who had got at mot.

Cheers dude.

no problem m8 :) they do put it on the advisory like u dont know lol but it 100% road legal as even some new cars come with larger wheels on the back :) and i think it looks cool to :)

When I run snow tyres, I usually only put the front ones on just so I dont get stuck am lazy lol. They are a different size then my standard wheel. Snow wheels are 15" and standard wheels are 17", never had a problem with them.

got pulled by a copper for badly worn tyre walls from scrubbing, I was not far from home and asked the copper if i could put 13's on the front and 14's on the back, and he said it was fine.
