not really fags tho are we mr keyboard warrior, at the end of the day he's said its a show winner which it clearly isn't for your info the vts's/GTi's arnt actually that fast and considering my car keeps up rather well to my friends gti (the gti gains a car length to 60) there not much faster at all considering there a 1.6 16 valve in comparison to my 1.3 8valve. At the end of the day you dont post up a for sale thread claiming that its something it isnt.

oh and as for better equipped it has power steering and electric windows, not massively better equipped really considering there a decade younger than mine.

123bhp v's 75, you do the maths, even a tuned gt which are generally around the 90bhp kinda mark would be left for shit. are you sure your mate hasn't got a VTR?

even my mk3 would do well to keep with on of these and that has 110bhp and a shit load more torque than a GT

my mates is 123bhp mine is approx 90-95 it also lighter than a 106 too. i didnt say mine was faster, i said mine loses about a car length to 60

Not being funny - but theres this thing called power to weight ratio...

As for 106's - I used to have a S1 1.1 that was tweaked - nippy enough to put a grin on my face till the french problem of electrics reared it's ugly head

So your trying to say that a 75bhp mk3 polo would be quicker than a 123bhp 106 because of power to weight? I'd be surprised if the pug even weights much more than the polo, never mind so much to make up for a 50bhp gap in power
