hi all i started my G40 up today and drove around 2 miles down the road it was missing and when i put my foot down to pull away from the round about and it cut out totally... wouldnt restart, i got towed home and loooked at the spark plugs, there 2k old same as the dizzy so i no there fine anyway, but there is such a weak spark on the plugs, there is a small crack in the coil pack so i changed both

we mannaged to get it started but then cut out iv looked at the relays and the relay ( *167 ) wont click on, i belive this it the fuel pump relay am i correct???

the only thing is my g has a fuel pump swich seprate but will the 167 relay need to click on to start??

You will not be getting any fuel pressure so that will stop it dead!

i can get preassure as iv got the main pump on a swich but the 167 relay i belive operates the lift pump

You have confused me I thought you were after 6n relay diagrams before? but the G40 origanally had two pumps controlled by a single relay

right i have a 6N with a G40 engine in running ce2 wiring.... the 167 relay wont click on clould this of make my car cut out and now not start??

OK relay 167 controls the power to the original (6n) pump in the tank so if thats not running your other pump will not have any fuel pushed into it's inlet.

Have you checked fuse # 4 15a it supplies the relay and the original coil pack and fuse #32 it supplies the pump

i looked at them but none have blown thats why i belive the relay must of blown but I'm kinda lost with how it just cut out

Pull the relay out and stick a paper clip between pins 30 & 87 on the relay base that will put power directly to the pump

Just incase there are no markings on the base of the relay

Not a lot else it could be, have you still got the immobiliser system on it? as this would kill the pump, or your looking at a broken wire/s !!

i belive so but dont think its working as its running the G40 ecu, and wouldnt it start up then cut out....

hmmm roken wires, then onlt thing is it ran at first but then it started to splutter under full throttle then gradualy got low down and cut out when i pulled away and wouldnt re start

ill need to look at the rear of the ecu to find that out ut i belive your correct

Right my fuel pump relay won't click on iv also found these two relays the look naked... But no fuses have blown to the fuel pump relay, I'm picking a new one up tomoz but plan on replacing these two

What are they for?? Could this stop my G from running??

On the G40 forum iv been told the 867906381 is the fuel pump relay and the other an ECU relay,

It worked at first but after leaving it ticking ovet it then started to run lumpy and cut out I took the plugs out and they where black....
