Anyone know of any insurance companies that wont rape me for insurance, the cheapest I've found a for a 1.3 mk2 polo is £2900 with the co op, there must be some cheaper companies around, would be grateful if anyone knows any, cheers

I've hear about them i'll check em out, most insurance companies have said thats the going rate for my age tho, and ok man will do cheers :)

admiral on a 1.4 16v 6n no years no claims but driveing 2years £1230 I'm 19 it was 1380 when i thought i had 2years no claims work that one out :s i put my mum and dad on it but I'm the named divers the price comes down

Try aviva mate i got a 1.0 8v 6n2 and its £1092 and when i was 17 last year it was £1071. just make sure your not the "main driver"

If you're the physical main driver and attempt to inform your insurance otherwise, it's fronting and illegal and yes the insurance company will find out.

£2900 really? Try Admiral and add your parents to your policy, they gave me (18 years old, 0 years no claims, kept on street overnight) £810 on a MK2 Polo CL 1.3.

I used quinn direct last year for my first year it was £2200 TPFT on a 1.4 8v 6N2 which was ok at the time. Now with my years no claims I'm paying 1300 fully comp with aviva on a 1.9TDi 9N which is the same insurance group as my old 6N2

I'm struggling to get insured the cheaps I've had is £4390 third pary only its bloody stupid

From my experience I would say not to even bother with online quotes such as compare the market etc. I'm 19, 1.0 6n2 with 0 NCD and both parents as named, Admiral wanted £2200 with an online quote. Rang them up, told them the same details and I'm now paying £1400 a year.

my first car was a mk3 polo 1.0 i paid £1700 i was only 18 on my own policy no named drivers with direct line
