ok i know the simple stuff like i'll need pretty much a gti as a doner car but theres a few questions i need to clear, i'm not a mechanic and this will be my first and was hoping it'd be a slap the engine in plug everything in and drive off jobby .

After reading though alot of stuff i then find out its not gonna be quite as simple as i thought...

aprentley i'll need a valver pump or mod the gti one to fit so the fuel gauge goes the right way, so if i want the gti pump and my petrol needle running the right way will mounts need to be welded for it? if so i can deal with a backwards fuel gauge

and also fitting the pedal box as i understand its not a cable box like the 6n, but has sensors,, I think. will i run into any problems with this or is it simply gettin the new box in and plugin it all in to the new loom?

then theres the loom i plan on prepping by labeling everything from indicators to lambada sensors just i dont really want to be cutting into wires and stuff so is this more/less a straight fit?

Last but not least providing i get an alright doner will the gti gearbox fit or will i have to run my current half shagged one?

Your best bet is to in effect re-shell a gti into your 6n.

It'll all bolt up and you'll not run into any issues.

what do you mean by re-shell a gti into my 6n? do u mean get a gti and just swap everything
