Never had wankangs, but I've currently got worse... lol

Lets say, i honestly dont like to drive in the wet. And its not asif i push the breadvan, i drive quite slow compared to the coupe and it still trys to do things it shouldn't. Like going sideways and all 4 wheels locking up with hardly any pressure on the brakes

I wont carry on with the argument though, all depends on driving style.

Never had any thing like that with the nangkangs or the mix and match part worns I've got on the hocks, although the hocks do like to light up pretty easy in any thing other than dry conditions. The nangkangs are fine but then I don't really push it that hard in the wet but with what I have given it they have coped fine.

People with no experience of them just seem to like to chat shit about them, but that's nothing new on clubpolo

Will collect at RR day

When is that? I'm missing your face ;)

This is true, I've never experienced them. Dont intend too either.

The way i see it, they are the most important thing. They are the only thing keeping you stuck to the road.

You could have the best other mods all over the car, biggest brakes possible... yet it will still handle shit and nearly kill you with wank tyres.

You don't half talk some popus shit some times toby

my cars lowered about 100mm so its never gonna handle great (it was built for lows not track use) but its never tried to kill me and It feels safe driven in the rain. Maybe if I had no experience what so ever my opinion would be more valid eh

lmao, I'm not saying that you douche!

Come and drive this breadvan of mine in the wet... it will scare you more than your MK2 with 100bhp

Not all budget tyres are bad.. i did 6 laps of the ring on mismatched cheapos. 2 in the rain where people were spinning out on some of the best tyres you can get your mits on.

My god did they make some noise in the dry though, there would be a porka tankin, just over taken me, but the people on the side of the track were turning around to see what it was screaming around the corner at a snails pace compared to the porka hahaha. it was pretty funny.

14x7+8 rh cups, bit of arch flaring and jobs a good un

The car is also running a 1.6 avy/afh hybrid now which is a well worth while upgrade, pulls so much harder now

Also in the not too distant future

If proof was ever needed as to how small the world is some times, when I collected the wheels earlier I noticed the lads square back was rocking the leathers that were in this when I got it

Wheels look great, what about the powertechs?

They are going to a northen monkey in a deal for the itb setup :unibrow:

Looking sweet guy,

What's the spec going to be on the ITB's?

I think a nice shiny stainless tail pipe would finish it off.

What happened to the Jetta?

fair play son! get onit!

Omex management and vauxhall xe coil pack set up, that's about as much as I know atm, should be getting them at the rr day so you can have a gander at them of your going? I'll be honest I don't know a great deal about running itb's, only just started reading up on it

As for the tail pipe I like tba dtm one

What happened to the Jetta?

Nothing since selling the engine, its lurking in the back ground of some of the photo's above

Eric I'm on it lol

The big ass dent in the rear quarter I mean, I don't remember seeing that when I looked through the build thread for it.

  • Author

Ah that's not a dent, a mate got me some cheap aerosol's so I tested them on the rear quarter, its just Matt black and gloss white spray

You idiot - as if you let that bellend have the powertechs!

I can sort you a deal on some top-notch head for them if you like? She will be tidy too ;)

  • Author

I'd rather have itb's than head mate, if I wanted head I can get it for free off your mum any thing I like

 how old are you lot?? haha

True story - slut

Eric - we are plenty too old for these kind of shenanigans, but head is head after all 8-)

true.. true..

Normally, you are ideas are always good guy, you are decisions normally are awesome.

Those wheels instead of the power techs..... Honestly? Imo they look gash :(

Itb's tho.... Good good.

This should be interesting on the rollers if the ITB's are on in time :-D

Tobes, on the powertechs it would have never got on the rollers haha

Really liking where this mk2 is going - keep up the good work, Guy...

epic!!!!!
