Mclovins Mk2 Coupe S 1.6 16v Eaton Charged (in The Making)

not sure how acquainted some of you are with the NEC but came off the M42 from the south came up to the roundabout, signs say NEC 1st exit. she then announces "I went that way last time" pointing straight ahead. I ask if she is sure and she say yes so I go straight over back onto the bloody M42. I were fuming.

Also ben, if you come down to brighton we can hit some of "those clubs" and lots of people will queue to show you their "alloy blocks" (cockney rhyming slang)

Never heard of littlehampton? or as the locals call it "LA" for Little Ampton. was recently on children in need, a guy shot himself in the face after a standoff with police there a few months back, someone got stabbed to death on xmas day there. easily the most inbred town in sussex. lots of gentics defects too.

Exhaust has been blowing for a bit but for some reason got a lot worse when I swapped the engine, finally got to the bottom of it while swapping the leaking tank earlier...

guy i came to read this thread to see if you gave out any ifo on running an AFH in mk3 with MPi setup, your a clever man not to give away secerts so easy.

Guys this is a car forum afterall, what you do during the hours of darkness ( or not in some cases) should be kept for clubcorsa

It's no secret mate, I've just done it so many times now I don't bother documenting it in the build

There's probably more about that side of things in the build thread for the red square back I built as that was the first car I did it in. I did try and write out a guide to what I did but halfway through realised it didn't make a lot of sense and that I'm not great at explaining technical stuff so gave up

If you think this thread is bad for dirty talk you should have a read of Eric's

love the rims dude. great build

Cheers mate :-D:

I'll just leave this here...

good results

did you exchange rims for tb,s today? what power figures you expecting with the new kit?

  • Author

Yeah I did mate and cheers

I'm not a fan of guessing at figures mate, I'd rather just knock it together and see what happens, saves disappointment if you don't hit the numbers you've been expecting then

yes thats best way to be lol :-)

Is that in standard trim guy, or have you made engine mods? Good results though with torque through most of the range.

  • Author

Guess its as standard trim as an avy/afh hybrid gets tbh, its running the afh management, air filter, de-cat, exhaust and currently running it on 99ron fuel (no idea if that's helping or not but can't hurt).

I'm very impressed with the powerzz guy, can't to see what its like after tbs.

that set up puts out good torgue, but why is there a drop after 4k rpm

No idea mate I think its some thing in the map as the lad that does the chips on here claims that his remapped ecu's smooth that out

Cheers Leon, I just wanna get them on but gonna be a while before I can do owt with them yet, need to get the jetta back in to daily action first so I can take this off the road and get started on it

Now its running nicely i'M sorting out the running gear which is getting pretty tired. First up were the top mounts cause they had started knocking and creaking

After

This weekend i'll be sorting the whining rear wheel bearing and changing the slave cylinder that I think popped on the way back from the rr day. Also getting some poly bushes off Kiz ( ) for the arb, I only changed the tca's about 6 months ago and the arb bushes are already hanging out pr them :disgust:

Shit son thats got some grunt!
