Meh

Donnnt!

Also, were the powertechs you had 14x7 and 14x8J?

Were they pretty heavy? And you had 165/55's on right?

Powertechs were 13's mate but yes those j's, wish some one would buy those 14's that are for sale and put them on a pump ass mk2

Think I was having a bit of a 'moment' max, had shit getting me down and seen a car which is exactly what I want next and got it in my head the only way to cheer me up was to sell this and buy the other, depression effects me in different ways to most

Just gonna keep plugging away at this for now and see if the love comes back but tbh I don't think it will take much more than a nice productive day on it. Mot is out this month tho and I'm debating whether to bother keeping it on the road, progress will move quicker if its off Tue road as i'll have a bit more spare cash, but then I run the risk of running out of motivation if I can't give it a run as and when I choose, nothing boost a mojo like a late night blast through the lanes 8-)

Guess I could just get it re mot'ed and sorn it, tax and insurance are the easier bits to sort out if I get the urge I guess

Anyway bit of and up date but no pics cause my phone decided to delete them. The brakes are on and working but need a bit more bleeding, the exhaust is sorted for now but I'm not 100% happy with how much chopping its had so a new one will be on the cards. Think I need to bleed the coolant system again as the fan isn't kicking in but gonna give that a go this weekend along with the brakes

Just read a few of the last pages and really feeling this.

Don't normally read the mk2/mk3 sections as I'm not a massive fan of them but this is nice!!

And I'm liking the engine plans 8-)

Ben they are powertechs, I found those pics in a for sale add while hunting down that scammer

Yeah sorry max forgot to reply, the thread was removed and all info deleted sorry mate

Got a little meet to go to tonight and this will more than likely be the polo's last official outing for a while as the tax runs out at the end of the month, might give it a good run out afterwards tho

Randomly felt the urge to check the coolant in this before popping out in it earlier, coolant level was fine but just as I was about to close the bonnet some thing caught my eye...

Oh dear

Hahahaha, lucky didnt end up wrapped round the cambelt man.

Seeee told you youd find some love!!

also, that engine mount there ^^^ looks like it needs to be more 6nish? ;)

  • Author

Yeah proper lucky, it had chewed the belt up but luckily kept away from the cam belt. Gonna take this opportunity to start swapping over to the 6n mount and maybe the 6n alt mount too. Would you be interested in swapping some wheel bearings for that shit off yours if your not gonna be using it on your conversion?

mate, just come over and get it..but i need to have the engine out first so you can cut the chassis apart or whatever :)

you cant lower than me if you fit the same size wheels

  • Author

Distance shots will be an issue as its stuck on the garden now till I sort the alt out, but if you text me about 6 to remind me i'll get on it

  • Author

Andy or yoof mentioned recently that they can have the frames custom made to your car so it can be made for more ground clearance if you want to run low
