Nah not going mate the polo is still not driveable and not sure the sierra will fit in there  besides saving as much money as possible to try and get the polo all sorted and re taxed/tested/insured in time for the polo show cause it all runs out this month

Don't worry about the windscreen mate its not like you did it on purpose, shit like that is unavoidable

The ones on my car are home made ones that were on the car when I got it but I will be buying some PPP ones once I have the spare cash. Have a look in the PPP bit in the site sponsors section here... http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showforum=68

Had most of the weekend free to work on this but just couldn't get motivated to do any thing on it, finally got started a couple of hours ago and started on the boot lid

Also picked up a replacement alt belt to at least get it driving again and one step closer to an mot but still need a windscreen if any one has a green tint one in mot passable condition they wanna sell?

You kept the rat sticker yeah boyyyy haha!

Only until I get to that part then its gone. Still undecided on whether to debadge it while I've got the welder and filler out

If theres a MK2/3 at the scrappers tomorrow, want me to attempt getting the screen out? lol

Do you need a seal or? If not ill cut the seal to save me breaking it

de-badge FTW!

Can always stick it on with a sticky pad later if you change your mind

  • Author

Yeah good point hadn't thought about that

Yeah if theres a good screen there and they don't have the belief that its made of gold, no need for the seal mate

booo haha!

atleast it still has the vinyl around the window! should keep that bit!

haha the yard i use is cool. They had a few MK2's in before but they were bare shells, probs gone now.

Lets hope they have more in.

Gunna go on a money making venture if there is lmao

MK2 ignition for carbs sell for about £30 on here, probs get it for a fiver LOL

I'm gunna rape you for the screen too

I'll but it for a fiver, to you... £50

but no, really. if i get it, ill just ask for what i paid :)

Sweet

And Eric the vinyl will be going. I really wanted to keep it but that would mean masking round it to paint it which risks looking gash if I get a bit wrong and its still silver underneath so if it ever gets damaged and needs to come of the boot would need painting again, which would be gay

did u no blow any holes in the tailgate when patching it ? what mm sheet was you use to patch it up ? gonna be frenching boot on my golf u see ;) look gurddddddddddddd

Golf... You enormous raving homo!

Pretty sure it was 1mm nay, blew a couple of small holes but only where I was trying to bridge a bit of a gap and got a little carried away. I'm using .6 wire and welded using spot welds rather than trying to get a run to help prevent distortion and blowing through
