I will certainly look into it, got an idea for some other decals as well that I think will go really well with the look I'm going for. Got an image of how I want it looking in my head now, just hope I can pull it off

Finished the welding on the boot

So that's ready to start filling then prep for paint just need to order a popper for it. Ordered some polishing equipment yesterday so I can finally finish off the wheels

This weekend hopefully will be spent getting it ready for the mot

Need to swap rear lights

Lift coilies

Weld backbox and fix any other leaks on exhaust

Get rad fan working

Probably more than that, that's just off the top of my head

So, just standard TA MK1 golf rear coilovers on this right?

Use the polo struts eric, just need to find someone good with a welder.

Not quite standard they have had a couple of spacers made to make them work better on the polo

Polo struts are fine if you don't want to go silly low and if you don't think camber adjustment is important

Camber adjustment will come from my top mounts anyway,

Any idea on what spring rates the TA's are on the back?

Finally got motivated and got the alt back on this

So its back in action now although I need to get it ready for the mot now if I stand any chance of getting it to polo show

Also picked up part of a 6N inner wing which will allow me to run the 6N engine mount and give more room up front for the charger

what tensioner you using with the mk4 alt?

What tensioner?

Mine just has a strategically placed bolt in one of the holes in the alt, with a spacer on it which pushes it away from the block when done up. This is another reason I want to address the positioning of the alt. With the right sized belt I can see no reason why the earlier style tensioner couldn't be used but I had already bought the belt from the faq guide which is too short for this setup. I could of gone for a longer belt this time around but it didn't seem worth the pissing around when I know this should work as well as I need it to until I get the later setup (or a custom one) in place

All sorted and the cars been put away for a little while I sort out a new project, hopefully I should have some new bits for this very soon tho of a little plan comes off :-)

Picked up this cars second doner car today, and swiftly set about breaking the windscreen trying to get it out (that was the main reason I bought the car). Which was pretty much the last chance of getting the polo to the polo show blown straight out the window, but fuck it

Doors and suspension to come off tomorrow and then its off to the crusher with this little breadvan

Get a clear screen, collect green quality street wrappers and tape to window = green tint.

If your breaking the new 1 I may want some tings

shoulda cut round the seal on the new screen and kicked out your old one.

if it has a 5 speed box ect gimme gimmeeee

It is being broken, its been up on the polo3 face book page since yesterday, but there's not a lot left to break. the interior is going in my other coupe, the panels and some other bits and bobs are going on my coupe S, the suspension and exhaust are going to a mate for how 2f. Any thing else of any worth is being removed and put up for sale to get some of the cost of buying it back, just haven't got the option of keeping the shell here while people keep constantly messaging me asking fo silly little things that ain't worth the effort of taking off

It's a 4 speed unfortunately Mr French, and thats what I was doing Eric but the Stanley blade snapped part way round, only option was to use a screw driver on the seal (done this plenty of times before without incident) and boom, it cracked
