Funds ain't really a problem atm Pete as most of the stuff I need to get done costs little, its mostly fab work on the engine mount and then the charger mounting. I can't pull the engine and start on they are done, then funds become the limiting factor lol

Ye i agree with this, remove all the un-needed stuff to give you abit more room to work and it becomes a task rather than a chore :-)

And it will all be cleaned and paint, whether it will stay clean is another matter entirely, but then it's not like I'm scared off getting my hands dirty so it wouldn't be an issue anyway

Washer bottle, carbon canister, bulkhead divider, ecu, battery, loads of shiz I'd nto be fussed about marking it, the paint in mine is chipped to frig already

Why would I want to remove the bulkhead divider? Lots of effort and no gain. The battery is fine where it is, it has no charcoal canister as its a mk2, the ecu is going under the dash so its easier to plug the laptop in and its out of the rain. The only thing that is going is the washer battle to give more space for the boost piping and that's only because I already have a boot mounted one for it.

I can't be arsed with making my life harder for myself by trying to hide or move loads of shit, i can appreciate a nice tidy bay but fuck making more work for myself on an already complicated build

Well this should be fairly self explanatory, its a mock up of the mount I will need to make. The thin bit will be welded to the chassis leg and the rest will follow around the inner wing with the rubber mount sitting in the holed bit. I'll be making it out of 3mm checker plate so it should easily be strong enough

Because its plenty strong enough and its free, the checker pattern will be on the inside so its not like anyone would even be able to tell once its finished

Ben welding inside a wheel arch will be a walk in the park compared to all the chassis welding I had to do lying on my back on the other sierra recently

Not really mate, started tacking the new engine mount base up and been pulling the 6n engine wiring out of it today, other than that not had time to get on it really

a mate gave me a pair of wing mirrors yesterday which were a little different so thought i'd whack them on today

and compared to the original

apparently they pattern parts from GFS or something although they are totally different to the originals. they look much better tho imo

No no cable adjustment si, the only problem I have with that is the hole I now have to fill in the door handle where the adjuster goes. Does anyone know if the mk2f ever come with non cable adjusting mirrors?
