Mclovins Mk2 Coupe S 1.6 16v Eaton Charged (in The Making)

Featured Replies

this one was always meant to be a keeper but I just feel like a need a new challenge and a break away from polo's. I've also discovered I can insure a 2.8 v6 xr4i sierra for the same price as this (probably half that if I go with a classic policy), and after a bit of reading up it seems its a very easy conversion to drop the v6 cossie engine out of the Ford scorpion in them...

Which sounds like just my sort of challenge

Big gay.

Big sideways gay soon hopefully

Big, bent over gay this weekend

the ford scorpio 2.8 cossie engines were beasts, my dad used to have the directors ex scorpio so it was all modded with big alloys, spoiler n what not. boot was cavernous and the engine used to pull and pull and pull! nothing like the supercharged jags he had but in an old sierra it would be a fookin hoot to drive!

Need to find some centers for them to finish them off, I've read that borbet flap caps fit but need to find some to trail fit before going out and buying some on the word of some randomer in a thread I found some where on the net from about 3 years ago

Matt took it up the strip while we were at action but it did a pretty disappointing run of 17.5, pretty sure that its not helped in the slightest by the fact that who ever bodged the back box left it a hole to let the gas out of probably less than 1"x1". Pretty gutted I've never noticed it before to do some thing about it but I've got another system to chuck on when I get the chance.

manlovin :D get that exhaust sorted and we are taking it back to pod u should get it past 17 seconds and hopefully ill be on the strip with you next time :p

Hahaha them cards.

Your car gave me the biggest buzz of the weekend dude! :-D

16v

Thats all :)

It was nothing to do with the engine mate, it was going down the strip in something so wobbly and scary

yeah, wouldnt have been wobbly and scary being 8v though ;)

Unless its a G of course.

 17.5 thats not right surely?

should be looking at 15.5 like mine boss

Doubt it will be as quick as yours Dan, a 2f weighs quite abit more than a mk1,

Will be more like 16.5s when he's sorted it out.

mine should be pulling 14s soon me hopes :)

How come!?

I'm pushing up the power

Your not gonna let us know how are you

stop spamming guys thread :ninja:

I think it still would of Toby, the arb bushes in the tca'a are non existent and I set the camber and tracking by eye the night before the show

Higgo some thing certainly isn't right, its probably not all due to the bodge on the exhaust but I can't help thinking that will make a massive difference when sorted, i'll get a photo of the hole the engine is trying to breath through tomorrow to show how restrictive it is.

Hopefully going back for gti fest to make that strip my bitch :ninja:
