No the bump strips are a mess and so is the front bumper, would it be ok to just smooth it over rather than source bump strip?

Anything thats different from when it rolled off the production line needs declaring. Somethings they'll note but wont effect your premium, other things will alter what you pay.

hmmm well i bought the car and the guy has put alloys on it, but i have no declared them didnt know i had too at the time just passed test. i took of the gti badges which were not meant to be on

imo some mods are a grey area sure alloys etc are declarable but what if i buy an air freshener? that isn't on the car from standard neither is a phone charger but what about heated seat covers? massage bead covers? different floor mats?

"modification" can be used very loosely, its a flaw of the system.
