Featured Replies

Welcome to my sale for my newly refurbished Image Split rims...

heres the specs and what will be included in this sale...

the wheels are...

Image billet no# 61

16x8.5 Front ET 30

16x9.5 Rear ET 35

5x100

57.1 center bore

10mm hub centric spacers to clear front brakes

a full set of 14x1.50 brand new bolts

and 2 new barrels, one to replace the damaged one and a spare... but read on...

the barrels have all been powdercoated gloss black, the centres have all been wet sprayed in VW Flash red, LP3G, and the dishes have all be done by MIKE the polisher in a brushed satin finish with a high gloss lacqure, if you know your wheels you will know mike is the guy you want to re furbish them... the split rim bolts are all stainless with stainless washers and bolts... you will also get 4 billet centers in flash red.

the finish on these wheels makes them COMPLETELY MAINTENANCE FREE... no hours of polishing at shows etc, just soapy water and a gleaming finish every time...

here is the bad part... but it has a happy ending

i had the wheels built up for 4 days when on the run to work, i was unfortunate enough to hit a huge pot hole on the motorway, this gave me a blow out and left me rolling for approx 300M on the bare dish and barrel... the damage to the dish wasnt bad... but the damage to rear barrel was unrepairable...

i have had the whole wheel back to mike the polisher and he has inspected the dish and is confident he could strip the dish, and relacqure it and it would be perfect for £30, i have also had the wheel on the balancing machine, and the centre and dish run true and straight, the barrel is the problem...

but fear not... i have sourced 2 replacement rear barrels, one to repair the wheel and one as a spare, these ARE included in the sale...

SO... you could buy these wheels, simply split the damaged wheel, re apply the sealent, and fit the new rear barrel, and these would be ready to go (there is a pic of the damaged dish as it stands now) OR split the wheel down, send the dish to mike to re satin and lacqure, and powder coat the barrel black, then re build, and you would have a BRAND NEW SET of image split rims for half price... these would cost you £1500 alone before colour coding and rebuilding...

the only reason for the sale, is that i have put £400 into these and i just dont have the cash to re do the damaged wheel plus tyres, and I've lost heart in them, so grab a bargain!

these are an awsome set of wheel wish a dish to die for... they will fit a huge range of motors, MK3 golf's, MK4 golf's, Polo mk6/7/8, Ibiza MK4/5, Fabia, Corrado, New Beetle, plus many more, so long as your 5x100... if your looking for some rare and one off, these are the wheels, image have told me they are the only set of these they have made since they were made 3 years ago...

if you wish to ask me any questions or arrange test fits etc etc please give me a ring on 07894643434 anytime, jon.
