Selling my Mk2 Golf GTD/AAZ Frankenstein.

Was originally a Mk2 GTD, but recently been converted to the 1.9tdi engine out of a Mk3 Golf AAZ engine code.

New engine has covered 87k and has just had a full proper service including the cambelt, power steering belt, new battery, new alternator belt, oil, filter, glow plugs and injector nozzles.

Engine runs very smooth and is very quick in such a light car. It has been 'Stage one' tuned by a specialist local diesel garage.

It has a 16v Exhaust system on it currently.

The Exterior of the car has just had a full respray in Ford Focus RS Red. This has been done to a high standard, obviously this means there is very very little wrong with the paintwork, there is a very small chip on the drivers door. The LHD windscreen holes were also welded over and smoothed when the respray was done. There is NO rust on the car whatsoever. At all.

Interior has been treated to Mk4 GTI seats inside. Front and rears. Very comfy and lovely driving position. Mk5 Cupholders have been added to the dash. The whole interior of the car was stripped before the new interior was put in, alot of soundproofing was done at this point making it fairly quiet inside. The boot has been plyed out and covered in gray carpet. Cleans it up massively and looks great. It also has the added benefit of central locking.

The car is sat on Jamex Coilovers that have covered around 2000 miles, i had Koni's on before this and the ride was just too harsh!

It has had a Mk2 16v GTI antiroll bar added.

Brand new disks, pads, rear brake drums and cylinders. The master cylinder has also been replaced. This car stops!

Currently sat on some Nissan Pulsar GTiR (i think) alloy wheels with 4 good tyres.

It has 6 months tax and MOT until mid july.

Your getting alot of car here, just needs some nice wheels and you'll be ready for the show season.

I don't think I've ever seen an original 2 door gtd, I was under the impression they only came in 4 door?

Either way thats one tidy looking golf and the aaz is a great base for some heavy oil burning tuning, good luck with the sale

wasn't it originally a 1.3? I got a quote on insurance for it due to your offer on my G40 and it came up as a 1.3. Either way it's a lovely car! I'm looking around to see if i can get some cash to put towards the p/x offer lol
