not sure if anybody else is having any issues with not seeing images on here.. but after a long time as using my car as an A-to-B slag, i decided to give it a bit of tlc, with a good polish and tad of paint on the wheels. posting pics on first post to save having to read through effectively nothing. also lowered the front a little more just to get it sitting a nicer.

right, so i bought this after i got rid of my classic mini. got it in april 2010

was pretty tidy but had a scab on the door and end off the sill so had to take the wing off to get to it, also got coilies on at the same time

was happy with how that turned out, then got new wheels and painted the badge

then got 6n2 rear lights and made a tiny weenie stubby ariel

this is how it is now below, took the bump strips off and polo/1.4L off the back. also got some 165/55/14 tyres on there instead of the big ones that come on mk2 golfs.. unsetup camber-inell took out the sidewall when the spring rubbed through. was over 4 degrees before i sorted it

next is 16v front bumper to paint, picked it up, its been in a bump but nothing i shouldnt be able to sort out hopefully but was £35 with grilles.

yeah i am, just got a 16v bumper on it so driving round without a front plate. only really drive around norton area and around crystal peaks. thanks, ial get some update photos after I've mot'd it, need to raise it up a bit aha

That is really clean

managed to get hold of a genuin 16v front bumper for £35, had a bit of damage to it like the bottom had snapped where the splitter clips in and a few scrapes and dints in it but in the end it looks spot on and cant tell at all that anything was ever wrong with it :) got it all painted up myself on my garden with my brothers compressor and ended up costing me about £50 all together.. well chuffed

just washed it but it started raining :/

cheers!! got a couple of ideas for it, thinking about painting the grill surround satin black and wrapping my headlights and indicators in fly eyes.. then it just comes to interior and wheels... thinking some ronal ls but like i think i said got car insurance in a month :/

so finally got my 16v rear bumper painted so took some pics of it now it is on!! the bumper was origionally dark metallic blue and its cost me about a fiver to paint it because i had to buy some thinners so not too bad!!! happy with how it came out just want to re-paint the front bumper now because I'm not happy with the colour match

thanks for all the comments but sorry for late replies, i will get photos for how i tiwsted the badge but basically just file or cut another slot into the grille. you might have to file one of the clips off the badge though, i had to silicone my badge back in... did it with silicone because its strong enough to hold and easy to pull back off.

update though, bought some bits off ashii^^ grill surround painted satin black, polished the vw badge and painted the inside satin black and fly eyes'd my headlights/ indicators and fitted 16v arch liners!! just want some clear side repeaters (maybe fly eyes'd to carry on the theme) umming and arr-ing an interior and some wheel spacers but generally going for a subtle daily kinda thing... anyways here's the pics :)

forgot to mention that I'm going to get a gti splitter and want to just get a bit of satin vinyl to go under the indicator to sort out where the black on the grill just cuts off to red

2nd the red grill surround looked good, looks nice snap with the plates i have that style :)

the jetta is good just seen him but its blowing like a bitch tbh but he is changing the whole zaust.. its the one in a pic a bit up the page. i right like the black grill surround, think its because i like mk2 golf's/jetta and just wish i had one aha makes it a bit closer.. think this one is going to be a bit of a marmite one and just did it as an idea, still got my original red surround so can easily change back

thats what i did dude just over time paint fades and i mixed it myself. its not too far off just its something i have to live with so it annoyed me
