I'm looking to get hold of a van, whose good on young drivers? just neeed to know whose worth giving a ring.

for a van with no sign writing (that adds to premium I believe) try Swift & Direct Line.

We got our 1997 Escort 1.8 diesel van fully comp with direct line for £500 but that is using 4yrs no claims.

If its not for commercial use then just insure as you would a car. Cheaper that way (we checked everything and its all legal and insured as we got Social, domestic & pleasure + commuting to one place of work on ours).

PS if it is for commercial use you will have to state that as we were warned if we were found out to be using it for that our insurance would be voided.

Worth bearing in mind that part time Gardeners get very cheap commercial van insurance

The AA always come up cheap for me, bit ironic seeing as it used to be an RAC van.

Perhaps the reason they wouldnt give us cheap insurance for commercial use as the boyfriend had down he was a storesman & I wonder if they thought he was going to start making deliveries in it.

Thats stupid, i am 19 1 years no claims and can get insured for a T4 with any engine including VR6 for less than 2k. A 1.9 turbo diesel is £1350 fully comp on my own name.

X-reg transit 150 turbo - £400 a year.

Steadily increasing everytime some c**t drives into it

my 1.7 vauxhall combo is £800 a year, fully signwritten and insured for commercial use.
