Whose seen some of these before?

Featured Replies

I've had these a while now, but sort of forgot about them. I thought id show them to you guys, as i am wondering if anyone else has come across them before.

I do know a bit about them. I think they were a dealer option on 6ns with steels. The guy i bought them off bought a 6n and didnt like them on there but told me they were original to the car. I have seen another set on a car local to me, which is a 6n, and judging by the state of that set theyve been on it a long time. My set and that one are the only 2 I've ever seen or heard of, and last time i checked the web it turned up nothing.

Anyway here they are:

You say that but the ones on the other car i was on about have a much better lookin centre badge, but are otherwise identical.

Oh, by the way, I've started to polish the Amils :-D

 they're class

There was a set for sale on retro rides at least a good year back, I posted the link on here at the time.

Also iirc kam found a set in a scrap yard? Can't see them being factory fit, probably just a popular wheel trim at the time and people have stuck bbs badges on them, after all you say that some you have seen have different badges to yours?

they're pretty rank  The centres look like they have been drawn freehand with a biro.

Still, i haven't seen any before. I'd probably avoid putting them on unless you really like them for some reason.

TBH i did buy them to put them on. I did think they were kinda cool in a twisted way.

However i changed plans and I've bought these to replace my steels:

Good choice sir. Much better :-)

Nothing wrong with liking different but sometimes a good idea can turn out to be a not so good one. I was contemplating some gash three spokes for a long enough time :-p

I dare you to stick them on your car and take it to edition 38

How much you want for them?

I'll roll to edition with them on steels for the lols.

They are 13's....

Id put them on a mini forum, 13s look massive on old minis.

i'd rather ave them than the wheels tbh

how much you want for them ?? I'm rocking some deep wellers... so youd never know! I'm looking for a LOL factor and to shit my mate up ( he loves my wheels) soo yer how much you want for them bud ? that is if you sell ?

I had some years ago, fuck knows what I did with them.

What about doing the ultimate scene mod of running 15" steels with undersized 13" BBS wheel trims just because they're BBS.

^^ Awesome idea - stick them deep in some chrome plated banded 15s and it'll look like you've got mega deep dish BBS..

Or remove the chrome rim from the trim, and sink the spoke bits deep into a coloured wide/banded steel rim.

Or even use dished alloys (like 8x14 superlights) instead of steelies.

My moneys on this theory.

Pretty shite, but then I'm not a fan of BBS.

Once saw a Toyota yaris with these on, nearly took a picture until the old bag in the car gave me an evil look for laughing at them
