Clearout

Featured Replies

I've finally set upon a project which I'm really wanting to finish, as a result i think I'm due a clearout of all my parts

K+N Weber dmtl/dmtr plenum, rotates 360, slim line design to fit a remote air filter, polished finish, needs a buff - £60

GT inlet manifold, Good upgrade for the G40, pretty clean - £40

G40/NZ inlet manifold, more torque for your gt, very clean off a low mileage car - £15

Volkswagen motorsport twin weber inlet manifold, fits small block vw, used and painted grey, overall casting is in very good condition - £100

MPI injector covers/jackets, VGC complete with foam inserts - £15

Helix 200mm organic clutch friction plate, done around 400miles, loads of meat left on it, along with a new genuine vw g40 pressure plate - £100

Phil J T25 turbo manifold, log style made from thick mild steel, very good condition - £150

Garrett T25 turbo to suit the above manifold, good condition, no play in the shaft, will need clocking to fit the polo - £60

Bank of 4 ZZR600 Bike carbs, In good condition off a working bike - £40

Lazer cut polo inlet flanges, in mild steel, just need steel runners welding of the link up with bike carbs - £20

Brand new set of KS VW small block (polo) main crankshaft bearings - £30

Mid 80's mk2 aluminium cam cover, for hydraulic engined cars, getting rare now - £40

prices are a rough estimate and I'm open to offers on all of the above,

more to come

thanks

What will the bike carb set up fit

  • Author

all small block engines, pre 1995

What do you mean when you say clocking?

  • Author

turbos are made up of 3 main components, compressor housing, the core which houses the bearings etc and the exhaust housing, on t25 turbos these 3 parts can rotate 360 to each other, you change the position of the 3 peices to suit the application, e.g rotate the core so the oil feed is pointing upwards and rotate the compressor housing so it points to the intercooler etc

anyway at the end of the day its pretty easy to do, if some one bought the turbo and mani togeather i could do this for them

thanks

will

I see. Does the mani include down pipe?

  • Author

no, i dont have a downpipe, easy enough to fab one up though, flanges are available on ebay

I see. One last one, does the turbo have an actuator/boost regulator?

Is that a Saab 9000 LPT T25 by anychance?

Is it a movable actuator or fixed?

If movable any idea what car it came off?

I'd take the dizzy and the manifold for £180 posted if you fancy it pm me thanks

Is the clutch a standard one or a paddle?

hi there, yep it comes with the actuator, the turbo also has a dump valve as part of the casting, nice design as its the best place for it and its one less thing to buy seperately

hi there, no its off a rover tomcat turbo, i do have a saab one you talk of that I'm using myself, it had a fixed actuator, I'm now using a spare rover tomcat compressor housing and turbine with a modified forge actuator

hi there, I'm afraid its not a paddle its just a standard organic clutch, they do stand up to quite a bit of power though, whats your application?

have you still got the dizzy mate????

Mine has done 30k with 170bhp ATF, 150bhp ATW and is still perfect

cheers of the reply saf, I'm quite tempted to keep it now and get the matching pressure plate, 170bhp for 30k isnt bad, we'll se though, what did you do with the paddle clutch from tommo's setup saf?

Its the Saab T25 one I planned to use, acquired the Mitsubishi TD04 and both the oil-cooled & water cooled Garret T3's, but yet to find a good condition T25.

Still got clutch and pressure plate, they've been balanced up with my 1.6 hybrid build, but id consider swapping them for a normal organic clutch, as the car wont be putting out 170, and they are easier to drive witwh
