Thought i would join here, the dutch polo community is a bit smaller

I'm Robbert, 20, live in the netherlands, study industrial product design...

I have a 93 Prego Coupe, its a 1.3 5 speed. Have had it for almost a year now and did some small things.

How i got it:

As you can see it needed some tlc... so i polished it a bit:

Then i got a new blinker(Seeing i had one white and one orange...):

And i finally got my rims on later on, they clipped the calipers a little at the front so i ground them down a little:

Then it was winter so i took some pics for fun:

and a more recent picture at a meeting at the beginning of februari:

Current mods:

-smoke side repeaters

-Personal Fittipaldi steering wheel.

-Wind deflectors

- 13x6 ET32 Intra rims

Plans:

-Drop it, probably 80/60

-See how long i can keep the color coded grill until i get bored with it and maybe change it to a blackone or (if i can find one )a grill with 2 hella round lights

-Fog lights

-Maybe paint the rims / different rims

-Different exhaust?

-Take car of some of the dents etc and detail it nicely

-Maybe some stickers?

Got a set of Thule roof carriers...

Gonna paint the standers black, make the letters on them white, try to find some endcaps for the beam on the rear and buy/build a fairing(anyone have any tips/sites/topics about this?)

polos looking cool.

We never got the preggo in the UK, but it is the same as a german polo style. Love the interior and the colour coded bits.

think i have to admit to liking the back grill

Haha yea basically no one likes the color coded grill :p I dont mind, i was never planning on keeping it but for some reason its different and its starting to grow on me :p Will probably get a black grill along the road though

I'm currently debating what to do. I have a couple of options:

-Use a skateboard deck as a fairing.

-build a fairing out of cardboard and reinforce it with fiberglass(either cardboard ribs or just a carboard plate)(i could do lasercut ribs but have to check if thats possible)

-Build a fairing out of perspex using the lasercutter at the uni...(have to check if it would fit in the machine)

Shiz needs to be lowered soon... The rear shocks are totally shot haha
