Polo 6n2 heated wing mirrors?

Featured Replies

Hey,

Just wondering if all models of the Polo 6n2 have heated wing mirrors?

There is a fuse in for them in mine, but they dont seem to heat up at all...

Not like i need it, just wondering.

Any info appreciated.

I think they were fitted to all models, mine is a base model and its got them. They should work with the rear window demister, but saying they warm up is perhaps over stating; they heat up just about enough to clear a light mist on the mirror but I wouldn't say they ever get warm?

Oh, i'll give that a go then.

I mean i had a 2000 model, without fogs and everything and i know that definetly had em, but i've since got a 2001 model with fogs and air con and all that jazz, but i dont actually know that it has em.

Spose only way to know is waitin til they frost over abit and seein if they clear at all with the rear demister on.

Thanks for the info mate.

put them on wait a few mins and stick you hand on it, ull soon find out if they are working, i had a new mirror fitted and it gets a lot hotter compared to my old one i have on the other side so i guess they may just get shit over time :)

Did you turn the mirror adjuster knob to have it point to the heater element symbol on the dial ?

If so it needs to be 20 degrees or cooler for it to heat up.
