My neighbour was leaving this out for the scrapmen this morning, and said I could have it for free :-D

I'm planing a full restoration, and to try and get her road legal by the summer. Failing that il store her and then take it to uni for my second year!

I've just given it a quick going over with some Jizer, heres a couple of pics

Its been off the road since 1982. The brakes have seized on and the engine looks to be seized. The throttle has also seized quite badly. What would be the best way to get these bits going again?

Its a PC50/camino. Pedal and pop! Cubs never had pedals. as far as unseizing it goes, have you tried pedalling about on it a bit?

Cheers man, the brakes are seizes on and the chains rusted so I'm going to try taking the chain off and pedling the engine tommorow! Is it worth spraying some wd40 into it first?

Also it seems to have a seized throttle? What can I do about this?

Lol , yeah its a pc50 , i recently sold my one and have regretted it ever since ! Mine was found at a house clearance been of the road since 1983 showing 3000 miles . I put a new spark plug in it fresh oil and petrol and it fired first pedal. Went straight through its mot as well I have a manual if you need anything, cheers Mark

i remember a lad having one of them over the fields once when i was a kid, the frame snapped so we chucked it in the lake

best bet for the engine is to take the spark plug out and pure some oil in the hole and leave to soak over night (might be worth propping the bike up on the rear wheel). when you try and turn it over keep the plug out just to give it less of a restriction. if that doesn't work then pop the head off and see what's what, it's only 4 bolts and no timing chain to worry about although be careful not to damage the head gasket when removing the head as these are reusable.

Cheers mark, actually now you mention it, the throttles got my stumped as to how it works, would it be possible for you to scan any info on the throttle and email it to me?

Cheers man, I'm gonna try that, ill fill the engine with fresh oil tommorow, (the thrity year oil in there looks better than the 18 month old oil I've just drainerd outta the polo :S ) the sparks gonna be a bugger to get out though its completely rusted into the engine! Ill take the chain off see if I can turn the eingine over then!

Ah no way! thats an early one too!

Mines coming along slowly, I've fully stripped it down (minus the handle bars as I havnt got round to getting a heatgun out to crack the rust) sanded the body down and started filling rust blemeshis then the bikes gone on the back burner as I got given another free veihcle this one being a mk2 Polo!

I'm hoping to get some welding done on it when I get the polo's sill done then its going to be my project for when I go of to uni and have to sell the polos :(
