  • Author

I haven't tried them on yet tbh, I've got bolts to polish first! Haha

so much polishing, so little time

was it hard to build ?

  • Author

No, I reckon I could do one in a weekend with the tools from my spare wheel well.

Lol, they're a right fuck on to get right tbh mate, not a job for the amateur mechanic.

Sure? I've seen some top notch pikey 1.8t threads.

just get welder happy and its all good

chop the legs out a lot, install a pikey hydro clutch, ram any selector in and get your mate to butcher up a set of shafts

Lol I wouldn't class myself as rich fellas! I just enjoy a challenge and thankfully I've got some friends and family who help me out too, my dad is a time served blacksmith, so anything that needs fabricating he loves doing. I've got a mate who's a painter, he keeps me right on the bodywork side of things, plus a lot of mates who are into VW's, we just all help each other out.

Forgot to add, the borbet A's are for sale.

Managed to pick these up, only got delivered tonight, they were a steal! Quick before (orange) and after (polished) pic. They're not complete yet, need finished to a better standard and some classy satin black detailing to further enhance the look of the polished alloy, but not a bad effort from my dad and myself for the night.

Polished bailey Motorsport header tank, just needs a re-polish and it should be sitting pretty in the bay next season :)
