Has anyone ever had problems with their openair roof mechanism? Me and my mate have just picked one up that needs mot work, and cambelt etc (which is all now done) and the roof doesnt work. The motor and the slider pins all work perfectly, but the front section of the roof has become detatched from the pins that push it open and closed.

What bits are missing? From what i can see there should be a bush that goes on the pin, that locates into the slot on the underside of the roof. Does anyone have a how to, on rebuilding the mechanism's on these, or can you buy a rebuild / repair kit from VW??

what a really need is a pic of how the front of the roof clips to the mechanism? i cant work out what bits i need from that pic above really?? its hard to describe them as i dont know what they are, as they ahve always been missing.
