Polo 9n3 Passenger Window Problem!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have searched and searched and searched but I cannot find anybody with a answer to my problem -

I've just bought a 2007 Polo Gti 9n3 3door, the passenger window did not work at all

Both drivers side switch and passenger side switch did anything. Fuse is fine, 12V going to motor control card(black box on top of motor)

I stripped both door cards off and did some investigating, I unplugged the unit, and switch and re pluged and it worked only on the passenger controls until i locked the car, once opened again it would not work on either controls until I unplugged it and repluged it in a certain sequence and sometimes didnt work still, I have not been able to get it to work at all on the drivers side control

Checked cables for brakes, tryed the old hold the button down while slamming door, nothing!

Motor seems to work fine on drivers side door when swapped, cannot swap drivers controls around because its one unit on the 9n3, is there any common fault it could be with the control side via the switches, or a bad earth possibly?

Any help much appriecated!!

Mike

Also to add to this, now the passenger mirror doesnt move, it did before :( so by the sounds of things there could be a power problem to the door maybe? not supplying the window or mirror?

Spoke to previous owner who said he had issues with it few months back and the rubber tubing from chassis to door had ripped and the wires were damp, he dryed it all out and bought a new rubber tube, perhaps the wires have been permantly water damaged and need replacing?
