Model: 6n 1996

Engine: 1.4 8v, K&N cone air filter, hidden stainless powerflow middle silencer and back box (from cat. back)

Suspension: TuningArt coilovers maxed out!

Brakes: Brembo grooved disks & EBC Greenstuff sticky pads front, rear standard drums

Wheels and Tyres: 13" Wolfrace sports radars (standard with the SE) only temporary!

Exterior Styling: 16v front & rear bumpers, FK badgeless grille, clear indicators, colour coded door handles, colour coded rear badge, de-wipered with glass blank (courtesy of Andy off here [Polo6n1600i])

Interior Styling: Black Faux leather headlining, A, B & C pillars

ICE and Security: Nothing fancy, Sony headunit, has USB, AUX, CD etc. standard tweeters, component speakers and a 12" mutant sub, with a 800W 4 channel mutant amp in boot. sounds pretty good though for a pretty standard/basic setup.

Comments: I bought the car around this time last year, had done around 105,000 miles. Headgasket went :(, and being a student, I was very poor, so only managed to get the engine replaced months later. Picked up a 60,000mile aex pretty cheap off ebay, good feedback, looked fine. had it all fitted, tested and all, and it still runs like a sack of poo :( they forgot to mention the engine had been sat for months with shitty oil/water in it at the bottom of the scrappy.. Spent so much time & money trying to get it mechanically sound, and still no luck. She's tax and tested now though, so at least I can drive it, but still needs a good service and is sounding a bit tappety.. I'm back to work now, so hopefully she's gonna be fixable, and i'll have her how I want in time to come.

Also, back in november some guy managed to skid up a hill on the ice, into my car, parked outside my house. I thought It was gonna be a write off so I put it all back to standard as I planned on getting another 6n, then found out it wasn't and had it repaired.. Just got the coiloivers back on and she's looking alright :)

little bit of her life^ haha but hopefully she shall be looking better than ever now that I can spend some time money and love on her :p

Here's some pics of how she's sat at the mo.. comments appreciated!

Cheers guys, I'll keep you updated.

Opinions? Ideas? I know it's only a start but tell me what you think! :)

likin it! white is a good colour, i think you just need some nice dishes and to keep the lows!! will be well smart! suppose you'll wanna get the engine sorted first though! and matching rear lights

that 106gti needs slamming..

Cheers man, yeah I've always had wellers in mind, or superlites? As I may be able to get hold of either quite easily.. Will have to see once i've saved up a little!

And damn it, you noticed haha. When It was getting repaired, they replaced the rear bumper, rear quarter panel and driver side rear light, but gave me a shitty standard one.

So one's a 16v and other isn't. Kinda annoying, but 6n2 rears are next on the list after the engines sorted, so not too worried at the mo.. just temporary! :)

and It would be, if he didn't live down half a miles track to a farm.. I have to park at the end, and get a lift to his house. hahah

welcome to the forum boy took you long enough hehe
