Just signed up too the forum as I've just purchased a Vw Polo 6N 1.4 16v. I used to be a mk4 Golf owner but then had a crazy moment and got some jap crap but didnt last 2 months so now I'm back on the scene and loving it!

Yeah i have got a induction kit but its pretty pointless on these little engine. I had one on my mk4 golf and it did f all lol. I really want to get a 1.8t conversion put in it or maybe a VR6 lump. Well'l see got other plans for it once I'm set up with a job again. :)

Hahaha yeah mate I'm going to get a 6n2 one at some point anyways. Yea I'm going to most probally go for a set of Steffan RS's from Dubmeister. Polish up the dishes and maybe color the inserts but i duno yet. Just saving at the moment

Looking at getting some Steffan RS's 8j Front 9j Rear....To get the rears fitted would i just need to roll the arches and get some nice stretch going on for these to fit nicely?

awesome wheel choice, when you buy them get the 9s in et20, then all youll need is to roll the arches and run some 195/45/14 tyres and they fit easily =D

Hmm Ok mate i cant seem to find 2nd hand Steffan RS's with the ones i want inclu tyres....i cant fork out 1200 pound really...

So I've been looking for some wheels for quite a while now and finally picked some up yesterday afternoon.

They need a bit of tuning as they have come off of a race car, no1 knows what the make of them is.

Sizes are 13" 7.5J Front & 9j Rear.

I've had to get the rear centres machined down as they sit alot further out then what i exspected from the hub. Pics will explain.

Ordered tyres and should be here tomorrow. Nankang Fronts 165/45r13 & Conti Sport Rears 195/55r13 should get a nice stretch all round.

I'm also going to be wrapping the centres in neon pink along with the mirrors hopefully.

Anyhow heres pics!!

As you can see the rears sit out kinda far so I'm having the 2 rear centres machined down abit so they will sit in the arch a bit better...

The Hub like thing here is what i having machined down abit by 20mm this should give me 3mm gap between the suspension and the wheel so should be all good.

I may need to roll my arches..

Thanks mate! If all goes to plan it should look the nuts, I've never even seen these wheels before ever. They did 3 laps round a race track and the guy sold them on. 3 piece rims so ill need to seal them all up when i have wrapped the centres. At the moment I'm looking for some Neon Pink Vinyl Heat Wrap for them at the moment so ill keep you all updated.

Is anyone near Horsham Sussex, i need to get my arches rolled, if i chuck you a few beers or something and get that out the way that would be a great help!

Love them wheels, I wouldn't wrap them pink though. They'll look kinda cool for a few days and then you'll regret it imho, look good as they are :)

Thanks buddy! I have seen the blue and pink theme and i have to do it atleast once atleast for this year anyways. I've been looking at vinyls in that color but cant find any UK company that does the Neon pink I'm looking for...I may have to go via the USA.

Anyone know links to help out?

Ok so I've been having a few convos with other people about wanting to wrap the centre of the wheels but have scrapped the idea for obvious reasons.

Now going to have all 4x centres Powder Coated in Neon Pink. :)

Should get the centres back from the fabrication place tomorrow or Thursday :p

I'm guessing you tried the fronts on as well as usually 13s are difficult to get to fit over the valver brakes? or does that extra piece that sits on the hub give you the clearance you need...

Yeah so did you trial fit the fronts like you did the backs in your pictures? as the 13 inch diameter is usually too small to get over the front brake calipers of the valvers but because of the them being racing alloys they maybe offset right I'm guessing...

9j isn't a problem there is a few people running 9j rears on here including myself. once you get that piece machined off the offset shouldn't be too crazy

Yea trial fitted the fronts and rears the offsets are -25 on the rear and 0 on the front as it goes at the moment. I'm more worried about the fronts then the rears as they have to clear the steering and suspension otherwise i have problems.

On the front i have about 2inch dish and 4inch on the rear ..i thought that was enough to go euro..tyres came yesterday aswell..

Will i need to get my arches rolled on the rear for them to not scrub or because they are 13's i shouldnt be anywhere near the arch with my tyres.
