i was looking at golf R32 on youtube and basically it was sex to my ears

but anyway i was wondering for a colossal engine conversion would it go into another vw it maybe a long shot for my polo but maybe something like my dads beetle =D and i no it will be stupid money and a lot of work but was just wondering if it could be done....

R32 in a beetle (presumably you mean aircooled) is a little silly.

Possible, but scooby engine is probably the better way to go.

In a polo.. i reckon you might be able to get it in a MK6 up easier than in anything older.

also was having a look on piston heads as a quick glance and they only going for £20,000...i say that like it is money u pick up off the floor but for the car i thought that was cheap but if i pick up the mk4 golf r32 with a bit of miles on the clock then they half the price so maybe in a few years time i may drop 1 in there depending on finances anyways

and they done a few on youtube with a jetta and lower mk golfs

Jetta and gold yeah, bigger engine bay. They are made for tall block engines

Polo's are made for short block engines. Which makes fitting anything but a short block engine a pain. As it either on the floor or sticking out the bonnet.

And even to get that for, your talking some expensive fabrication to mounts and possibly subframes.

I'm pretty sure the better idea would be to just vr6 swap it, the actual engine would cost a lot less and easier to come by seeing as no one would take out and r32 engine surely! VR6 sounds better anyway in my opinion.

nobody 'takes out' VR6's really.

Most you will find will be from crash damaged cars.

It's a fairly easy conversion to put one I'n a mk2 golf I no this as I was going to do it, I had an engine and the full 4x4 system but decided not to go ahead so sold up and made a fair wedge :) so with what iv got left saved I'm going to take the G engine out next winter and go for something crazy that revs over 8k

just whack the r32 behind the front seats and run a passat/a4 fwd gearbox so you can mount longitudinally. it theory it could work. transverse would make weight distribution worse IMO

Someone's put an R32 engine in the engine bay of a Lupo successfully,and a few 6n's have been VR6'd, so it shouldn't be too hard for the competent.

I recon it goes in a MK2F, if not earlier.
