I have one light out, But i cant figure out how to get the bigger out to change it.

MOT's due soon, so dont want it to fail on something so small

Open the tailgate, then with a small thin flat blade screwdriver put it into the small cutout nearest the boot and lever upwards and the lamp holder will rotate up and rearwards, then just pull out the bulb holder

Number plate lights

Removing and installing number plate light, vehicles > 09.99

Removing:

‒ → Carefully lever out number plate light with a suitable tool, until the retaining tab -arrow- releases.

‒ Disconnect connector.

Installing:

‒ Connect connector.

‒ Insert number plate light in bumper.

‒ Remove number plate light.

‒ → Turn coupling in direction of arrow and pull out of the housing.

‒ Pull out bulb (12V/5W), do not turn.

When installing the coupling must be turned (opposite to direction of arrow) until it locates.

My clip was fully bent under the bumper, just make sure when you do it to apply some masking tape around the light so that you don't damage your paintwork :)

Try prying it up enough to see the metal clip that goes under the lip of the light surround on the bumper.

Then see what happens when you press the metal clip back (used a single medium sized flat head screw driver to do all of this). If it doesn't come out when the metal clip is pressed back, try getting the screwdriver behind the metal clip and force it out that way!
