well, actually did some stuff to the car today,

basically as you may know i bought a silver coupe s with the intention to restore it.. and as you may have seen i found alot of rust. so much so that I'm having to scrap it.

but, as the silver one is a german built model, and my red one is spanish, the silver one was much better quality inside and out.

so, I've slowly been replacing the old worn parts from the red one, with good quality german parts :)

bits I've changed are:

• grey and black coupe s doorcards wth red pinstripe
• drivers + passenger side adjustable mirrors
• coupe s clock surround with red pinstripe
• coupe s rear bumper + fixed the number plate lights
• coupe s rear spoiler (made of rubber instead of plastic)
• fixed rear drivers side bumper mount
• all locks and handles from coupe s (I NOW HAVE A CAR THAT LOCKS WOOOOO)
• coupe s standard exhaust
• coupe s grab handles
• all coupe s switches (much better quality)
• coupe s carpets + boot carpet (much nicer quality)

as a result, the car is feeling alt more solid! and it is a much nicer place to be.

i still have stuff t change over though! so more to come soon.

That's one of those 'piece of string' questions isn't it?

Or perhaps the answer is "it will cost as much as they'd like to shaft you for"...

But regardless of the insurance, you should stick a G40 in your existing mk2 shell. You know it wants it

You'd have to go with a specialist insurer to get the best deal I would have thought. Adrian Flux seems to be the choice, and apparently you oay a fixed amount, and you can have unlimited modifications. Worth a ring

yeah standard g40 is cheap with admiral, would probs neex flux or brentacre on a mk2 I'm guessing

Yes, so long as the arches are in good condition. Or blend the trims into the arches and paint them red too!

i think it looks cool with the arches, but i wanna make it look kinda flush.

the front drivers side arch is nackerd but ill just grind out the rust then roll it and fill it with chemical metal for now haha

well, its pissing down with rain outside, but that hasnt stopped me.

today I've stripped out the interior, fitted all the coupe s carpets, fitted the coupe s reat seat catches (as they were complete and dont wobble about)

fitted coupe s rear seats, and just putting fronts in now.

also fixed the heater dials so they dont come off whn u pull the ashtray out, reconnected the ciggy lighter, and bodged my clutch cable so the clutch is higher (lol)

yeah boy!

oh and also, after getting soaked messing around with cars..

sat down and smashed out some forza like a boss

gotta use the buckets somehow!
