UPDATE:

took a trip to oxford today and bought a golf gti interior off prankstar2003, also got a black carpet at last! thanks mate.

anyway this is what it looked like before, dirty granny seats + no carpet

so i got home, then as i couldnt b assed wedging them in, i started by stripping the rear seats down, i took the frame out and swapped it all with the old polo frames including the padding. actually fits pretty nicely tbh!

as well as this, the passenger seat was sitting way too high. wich unfortunately led to me cracking my windscreen when i tried to get in the back. BAD TIMES.

to sort this, i stripped the whole seat down to the frame, and did the same with the polo seat, swapped the frames over and result! nice and normal again!

thinking about doing the drivers seat but didnt have time. luckily its height adjustable so not too bad anyway. heres how it looks! also the black carpets there too.

very happy with the results, completely changed the car!

incase you didnt notice, it was getting dark, so the pictures are awful. sorry guys!

Ah, so you put the golf foam onto the polo frame? Nice idea! Looks really good mate, wish I had done the rear bench conversion too!

I have the carpet for the rear wheel arches too, forgot to give them to you. Hook me up with an address and I'll post them on.

Looks really good mate, and goes like hell! Keep it up!

yeah, it was looking good last week, and was fun to drive with the afh even without the carbs set up yet!

it will be a shame, but i may have another one in the future, the blue coupe s on my profile pic :) at the mo I'm loving the golf though! even if it is a hell of a lot slower and more common

okay, little update of what the polos looking like at the mo, haven't done much recently due to work and it getting dark!

anyway, as i put my golf gti interior in the golf I'm now driving, i had shitty golf seats in the polo.

so i got bored and i took the front seats out of the 6n I'm breaking, and though i might aswell try to fit them in. then realised the seat frames were far too wide! :(

i didnt want to give up however, so being the bodge artist i am, out came the hacksaw, blowtorch and the hammer! LOL

so, i lined the 6n + mk2 frames up and you can see that 1 of the runners are basically just extended, so i sawed a slot in the little support bracket, heated the frame up and bent the frame inwards so it was the same width as the mk2 frames :D then just had to bend the runner part slightly. and with a bit of trial and error, they fitted! there quite stiff to move backwards and forwards, but there nice and comfy!

322766_2444685873210_1133764328_32823251

and this is what happens when you get bored and have a 6n that is getting scrapped... haha!

331264_2446063067639_1133764328_32825298

also, did a bit of tidying up in the engine bay,

th_297284_2395833731937_1133764328_32783

tried using the 6n dizzy to get rid of the vac advance, but it wouldnt run! :( nevermind.

unfortunately just missed out on some starmags which would of suited it nicely, so i may end up just buying a new set in mini p.c.d with wobble bolts.

anyways... cheers for looking!

Far too much ground clearance on the golf, if you can run a spliter then your too high

hopefully gonna look like this soon.

which alternator you running the AFH on?

which alternator you running the AFH on?

mk2 bud. i got the mk4 alternator pulley and cut the back spacer part of it off, so it sits in the right place and i have no clearance issues.
