Featured Replies

right I've lost my driving license and its gonna take ages to get a new 1, says 2 weeks on the site but someone said it took a month for theirs.

this sucks on its own but its also my bday in 10 days

i really dont wanna use my passport to go out so surely theres something else i can get, like a dedicated card just for ID, that i can get in less than 10 days :D ?

Only thing most places around here will except is driving licence or passport.

Only the major shops will take the government backed Age ID ones and even then I've seen some refused (Deemed too easy to fake).

grow a beard.

Someone tried to say a child is there form of ID to me to which i responded "doesnt prove your over 18" with kids track records nowadays.. also had people use tattoos as proof.. again.. doesnt prove nothing -.-

Accept driving liscence, valid passport, citizen card, id card etc

Once got away with telling a shop man I was older than he was.

In all fairness, he was the year below me at school, just didn't recognise me.

I find beard, wrinkles and receeding hairline works fine.

This does for me but Tesco's (all branch's) never seem to agree with me for some reason? :)

A few years back when I was working on a checkout I asked a lass if she'd got any ID for fags.

She pointed down at the pushchair and asked if two kids count.

I was laughing that much I had to serve her

some of the new age id rules are daft.

When i worked for morrissons.

A guy kicked off (and in fairness i would have too) after the checkout girl asked for ID for both him and his daughter (she was 16) and as she didnt have ID they refused to sell alcohol to him.

Sisters had the same, went shopping with my mum and saw a friend at the checkout so went and spoke to her, checkout staff refused to sell her mate a 15 dvd and drink as my sister didnt have ID and they appeared to be together.

The store in question has failed 7 trading standards tests in 4 years ddo. and is now on the verge of loosing its age restricted sales licence.

If memory serves, that makes them one fail off potentially losing their licence.

surprised they still have there license

But yeah, passport or something like a citizen card (which will take longer than 10 days to come through)

If its only 10 days, just use you are passport lol.

Thats stupidity. No wonder the shop has failed, the staff clearly have no common sense

Id'ing people is a laugh at times though. I've had people threaten to shoot me before now

yeah I'm gonna just have to use my passport, as muhc as i love trawling clubpolo all night.

was just hoping there was something i could use so that i wasnt potentially taking a plastic £20 note around with me (replacement license costs £20).

There wasnt even any money in my wallet and I've spent £31 so far just replacing cards

surprised they still have there license

To be fair to them though toby in our training (thats stupud ass video) were told we have to do the same but lets face it.. no one does.. apart from them haha

Pull a pube out of your pants and slap it on the bar

Not to that extent though mel

Wed loose all of our customers if we did that. Think about school rush. a fair few of the moms buy a bottle of wine when there getting there kids sweets. Am i meant to be asking their kids for ID? lmao.

The rules are bollocks tbh. And that fucking video... Jesus. Gotta do ours again in the next week lol.

i was with my mum in the co-op when i was 16 and they refused to sell her a bottle of cider cos i was there, and it was genuinly for herself aswell ( this time  ).

on topic, i lost my driving licence too and I'm pretty sure my replacement arrived within less than 10 days, it was faster than i expected so you might get lucky and have it through by then!
