just a quick insurance question..

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am soon to buy a Polo 6n which is to be my first car but I am still unsure about which model to get as I want something relatively powerful but one thats not too much of a pocket emptier to insure so I was just wondering whether its cheaper to insure a 1.4 16v or a 1.6 8v? And also which one would make more trips to the pump?

I have got an online quote for each however I can never be sure that these are accurate as I was given the exact same quote for a 1.0 and 1.4

cheers

Go to Admiral, get a quote on both cars with your parents on your policy. There is too many variables for us to be able to tell you anything about the price of insurance.

agree with the above but from my experiance i tried to get insurance on my 1.4 8v 6n and it was 4 grand but reacently got my hands on a 1.3 mk3 coupe and just got a quote of 2 and half grand thats with all the same variables

I can get £723on a 1.3 MK3 Coupe. That's 18, kept on the street, college student with job (not at the moment :-( ).

the answers in the from bit on the left...

manchester and surrounding postcodes are ridiculous!

is your insurance quote with you as the main driver?

Thought it would be a post code issue, A rated here :p

you would make more trips to the pump in the 16v because you cant stop yourself from hearing it in the power band
