This is my 3rd polo which i share with the gf atm until we save for something else but its really the only one I've attempted to modify and alter, so slightly new to all this

managed to pick up a polo, in reasonable condition had been treated a little rough by previous owners, but thought it could like real nice with a little bit of work. after all no one likes to see a polo scrapped specially when their is a chance with some tlc it can be saved

So far I've had to replace all locks as they were completely ruined, put in a new gearbox...

Still need to repair the sunroof.

bought a set of smoked rear lights but still unsure what to do with the front lights... looking for replacement front and rear bumpers. and a nice set of alloys.

The turbines are now gone, and in place are a set of steelies a look that at first i was a little sceptical of but when done i actually quite like it.

also had to replace gear linkage bolt as it sheared off whilst sat at lights lol always nice to lose gears in busy traffic.

then came the rattle cans !!

got rid of the stickers that were randomly put anywhere on the car.

got a chequered roof hopefully going on in a week or so... and hopefully get a exhaust sorted.

gave the car a wax and polish and put front splitter on.

Going to attempt at tidying up the engine bay, whilst waiting for some things to arrive to transform the interior

Need to do some work to the engine as its not running as good as i would like, makes a whirrring noise when revving. (any ideas?)

managed to track down a polo exactly same colour as mine, so got the boot and door for £20 alot cheaper then paying for the dents and scratches on mine to be filled and painted.

Engine Bay looks so much better with the engine cover in my opinion

My sunroof had completely broke, so managed to track down another one. fitted and working nicely now,

will put headlining back up once decided what i wanna cover it with.

had some spare dial and switch surrounds, decided to spray them silver to see what they look like

gonna put new door and boot on as soon as possible.

I hated the turbines lol was not a style I liked

want to recover the headlining, possibly orange what would be the best way, fabric and adhesive glue, or paint the current lining?

Fabric and that spray glue i showed you

sprayed and added a slot on spare plastic switch blank for my usb

got another set of steels to put on the car so i can take the others off and sand them back, and have them sprayed properly etc.

also decided the grubby headlining needed some work, so decided to recover it in orange... awesome in my opinion i know its been done before on other cars but ahh well i like it thats all that counts eh lol

roof lining in looks pretty good

fitted sticker bombed bonnet looks sweet i think.

Is looking cool mate, I reckon you should tint headlights + indi's or get clear indi's though :p

mate, the usb slot hting, how did you do that, my head unit has a usb out and i wanted to fix it to the dash, or make a usb input so i can plug it straight into the dash, how did you attatch it on the other side?you managed to do it and make it flush really impressive!

alot of sanding lol just basically measured out the size of the usb, drilled some holes and then sanded away, their will be easier ways but this allowed me to do it bit by bit and get a better finish.

as for the other side its secured with some high strength glue around the edge, nice snug fit...

picked up a few spare switch blanks just incase but got it right on the first one

the headlining is being changed as its dropped, so looking at a few designs.. and the bonnet is coming back off again for the meantime as i want to get the cars sprayed and a 16v bumper

It had a shunt from previous owner on front left, probably slightly bent further in or something...never really seen it as 'badboy' bonnet though heh, personally i don't like them :p

lovin the head liner when u took it out did u have to remove the gray trim bit that goes roun the sun roof so the head lining came out or can u leave it in ? and also what did you use to stixck the headlining down
