Car Criminal Damage

Featured Replies

Well today i was followed to college by a lad in a citroen c3 because i was half in/half out of a 'keep clear' section just before a junction and i was in traffic so i couldnt of went anywhere.

Anyway when i stopped at college to drop my lass off he got out the car, threatened to put my head through my window and wanted me to get out and fight. I stayed calm which I'm proud of and just sat in my car, he then kicked the top of my door, putting a huge dent into it and drove off. Luckily there was a few whitnesses, one who works for the college and there is CCTV footage of the damage and him driving away, they also have numberplate recognition so thats recorded too. I've contacted the police and they are coming to see me about it tmora, any ideas where it will lead or anything?

Cheers in advance

damn that was your good door too, the other one had a dent already :p

theres some pretty weird people around, any normal person would recognise you weren't there purposefully and you'd 99/100 wouldn't end up there, you've got pretty strong evidence so it shouldn't end well for him ;)

I know, its just annoying cause i drive that way to college everyday and I'm guessing he will click onto it..

even if you did it deliberately he will still get bollocked

just let the police deal with it and hope they push for a conviction!

how do you know he kicked off about that? and what exactly did he kick off about?

sounds a nut job, but you have all the evidence so i would just see how it goes, he is in the shit either way.

Lets just hope he is not the type to hold a grudge and keep hassling you

What an idiot, why do people have to try an enforce the law themselves. I'd arrest him for driving a Citroen!

Because he followed me to college, that was the only time i had seen him in my life and he said 'what was all that about back there'. All i did was pull out the junction and turn right straight after as thats the only way to my college that i know of :)

What a idiot, prox had a similar thing happen to him a while back, iirc he got a pay out from the guy thanks to police envolvment, I can't really remember though and it's effort to read the thread again.

However it may be worth you having a quick read?

to be honest i would not even make a big deal about what you can only assume he was angry about. To follow someone and do that is a bit weird!

@DKnight - it is but he did seem like a psyco (spelling?) hopefully the police will sort it because i dont fancy paying to get it sorted when someone else did it.

I would try and push for charges on criminal damage, him threatening to harm you and harassment for him following you.

What makes me sad about all these violence road rage incidents is that it happens to young people or skinny weak looking (no offence).. They are just bullies, they've had a crap day and are taking it out the first person they feel like they can belittle.. I bet if you would have got out of the car and you turned out to be a 6ft brick shit house he would have poo'd his pants.

Mother fucker! I would take his reg go find him and take a baseball bat to the whole car.

Anyways, for the more legal option, let the police sort it out, I'm sure they'll be able to sort you out seeing as you got the reg number! Should get a pay out as he did damage your car.

you've got his reg, find out where he lives and rape the living shit out his mother. you'd not only get pay back but you'd get sexual gratification too, win win

Damn near just pissed myself!

There are some nut jobs about! You did well keeping calm, means no blame your way.

Hopefully the police will sort it.

Mate of mine got his car booted and kicked by some drunk idiot who was already on the tag, unfortunately the judge felt sorry for him already been in trouble and he only had to pay a small fine, no where near enough to cover damages! Id have gone and sued the judge!

I made a thread on here a few months back about a mentalist in a van who chased me. I decided not to get out of the car which was probably a good move, not sure if he would of started a fight but he came up to my window and started mouthing off, he then saw that I had an extendable wheel brace in my hand mouthed off a bit more then pi55ed off. This is why I carry it, if I ever got into a fight situation I`d use it for self defence, just cave the side of the guy`s head in a little bit..

I`d be happy with compensation if I was you. I think staying in the car is a wise move. I used to valet and the amount of people`s cars I came across with weapons hidden down the side of the seat was quite suprising, baseball bats and a couple of knives... found a 'fleshlight' hidden in one guy`s boot but thats another story
