i bought this a few weeks ago at the moment it looks as though my grandad owns it so i will be making it into a better looking daily!

all original at the moment all tidy no rust aat all. plans are to fit a cosworth spoiler, lower it, some nice wheels and a few engine tweeks, its a bog standard 1.6 pinto.

iv changed cambelt, oil and filter. needs new brakes and some fuel lines in the future.

this will be ongoing and slow so bear with me i work away.

leave the outside alone. just plonk a big engine in it. cant be many std sapphires left

engine may come out later but want it looking better! i at least want the bumpers colour coded

I really want a sapphire at some point. My stepdad used to have one (just a 2.0 Ghia), but it was wicked. My whole desire for a sapphire wasn't helped last night when I was watching a wheeler dealer episode where they did up a cosworth .

lol this for an old box standard thing does me ok! still wanting another mk3 polo aswell when money says i can get one but for now this will get my full attention when I'm home of course!

managed to get my hands on a cossie spoiler it was graphits grey or sumat anyway sanded down to this, apologise for pic quality,

only paid a tenner for it, masked up the black tip and primed it in white,

then thought id see how it would look on the car :biggrin:

obviously will look better when painted up need to decide whether to paint it black or go white?

also need to grind off the old fixing nuts as they're past it, also ordered new spoiler plugs as the others broke when i took them off

also bought a cossie grill in black so need to decide whether to paint that up aswell or leave it pics to follow

The great thing with Fords is anything fits in anything. I'd find a Scorpio Cosworth and whack the engine in. They're not the fastest thing on the planet (200bhp from a 3 litre v6), but they're dirt cheap

ye my mate bought a granada with a cossie 24v in it and he only paid 250 notes for that so he's putting that into his 2ltr ghia and running it on an auto box its just an arse getting all suspension bits and running gear as no one seems to part with them and if they do they usually fucked up ones

managed to get some clear indies off ebay for £14 brand new in box, a cossie grill and some tinted rear lights so got them all fitted.

this was a pain

the rest was easy

then these.

test fitted one of them

lol at the gap! tyres need replacing and kerb marks will get sorted, got bored and attacked the drums

suspension arms will be painted black next weekend, spoiler will be given its first coats of paint.

next up will be lowering it to close that gap some colour coded bumpers. then il be moving onto a few engine issues I'm mulling over

hi mate my dads got a Mondeo st24 2.5l 24v v6.

were currently breaking it as the abs pump has given up but all parts are available. engines only done 65,000 with all history if your inteested

not sure what parts will fit to be honest but if you know let me in on it lol! I'm a noob! update soon just got my free cossie rear bumper and tried on a black cossie spoiler! pics up soon
