hi there iv got two front mk4 golf seats wich i want in my polo but i dunno how to modifiy my runners , and question has any one done this before and could link up with pictures or whate ever any adivce cheers lads :)

there too wide to fit really. You'll be struggling to plug your seat belt in and use the handbrake

Lupo's use mk4 golf runners but polo's are narrower. Same as a mk3 golf. So sell them seats and look for some from a different car.

Fit perfectly in terms of widths.

I fitted front and rear mk4 golf recaros to mine take your time, custom subframes up front, and for the rear take apart both benches, and you'll be fine rebuilding one that fits

at least heres still some positive people :) and they just dont say you cant do it , coz you do anytihnk you want , but i can't really figure it out how to modify them but i will get there slowly and I'm only using the front ones as i ent got back seats in my car :) has any one got any pictures or anytihnk ?

I kept rear runners on the golf seats, cut the centre runner off, and weld a centre runner on from a polo subframe

You can do it that way, i thought about custom frames, but it means that the seat doesn't go up and down properly..

If you chop the existing bracket on the floor of the car and weld in an L shape with 2 holes (which bolt onto the front of the seat), you can do it that way.

Takes about half an hour to fab up a bracket and chop out the old one, and weld the new one in.. :)

The runners are the same width, i just had to grind down the little plastic wheel on the end! Takes a bit to get it right, just take off a little at a time. :)

Thats a bit permanent though.. I wanted to turn my car back to standard to make all the money back

How I did mine, they folded as they should (3 door)

Even lifted up when they tilted forward, just as they do in the golf.

I spent ages looking at it doing it that way, just couldn't see it! :/ Mine still fold and lift, yours is probably the better method!

Haha, cut up arch liner wedged in between the subframe and the seat = no fire lol
