Well after a great start to the year by rolling mu last polo

i decided to treat myself to another :-D

this is my old polo

bought it for £1500

65k full history

and pritty much have to change everything!

wheel bearings,spring(snapped at 80mph!),cat....

then decided to empty itself of all oil (luckily it was overnight so didnt ruin engine lol)

was a problem child tbh

When i first buffed it up to go up to Hill End

then one eventfull night led to this.........

this belive it or not was done at 10mph!!

all got out with out a scratch like so it not all bad :-)

shame i loved this polo even with its abilities to empty your wallet with one breath lol

time for my new polo 6n2

so then i picked up this gem.

70k with history.

tracking was out but that was all

not a problem with it at all.

as you may have noticed the only difference are the trims lol

done the odd bit to it tho..

fitted cd player obv lol not into story tapes...... fitted front components (350w) and another set of tweeters.

boot build to follow.

2000w sub and amp housed in a aqua ps2 case mounted in the side of the boot.

Had a cleaning frenzy

Under bonnet and door shuts

rear arches got a good going over aswell.

then made a bra which did well as it deflected a few stones. off now tho.

old vw mats got the vw emblem painted

do have plans for it but going to keep my cards close to my chest atm

yeah trying to get every visible bit back to showroom clean for a start whilei bring in the money from my new job to start the modding.

yes anno they are citreon but it was just a trial run lol

looks higher than usual because its jacked up on the other side lol

I actually think they look quite good, I have seen a couple with mercedes trims on and if you are liking the look of this I would definately get some, plus lowness is needed

coilovers are proper cheap

You can get a decent set of springs for around £50 on ebay if you can't get coilies.. why not have a look in the classifieds on here, someone is always selling springs or coilovers, who knows... you might find a bargain!

been looking just need some luck and bank ballance :p

its either the trims anyway or some 15' steels with white walls (dropped obv)

in exactly the same boat as your first car man, it falls to bits...

failed it's mot and in the week that i waited for parts to come the battery, ignition switch and gearbox went lol.

but i love it, totally feel you. hope mine rolls one day lol. or ill sell it & regret it.

i do miss my old polo but I'm glad I've got a more reliable one, just doesnt feel the same tho having to get used to another one all over again. BUT hey I'm not complaining now it was a steal and its ran perfect so fat (touch wood) lol

if it ends up jst being to expensive tho fix it till it runs (ish) flog it then get you sell a lil gem like i have, anno i loved my old polo but i wouldnt go bak to it now lol

UPDATE!!!

with all the fine weather we have been having i decided to polish the car. (3x's to be exact lol)

Plus i decided to refit the trims after a tad bit more trimming.

tad bit larger than the originals lol

Plus my grandad was in whitby and picked up this little gem for the sum of £1.50

well the polo is smelling of petrol on these hot days.......

realy gets you high after driving it for a while then parkin bak up.

its of with the intake tomorrow for a clean then a full revamp of the fuel lines in the engine bay!!!!

Well after a freash M.O.T and a set of headlights to pass it i decided to treatit to its best polish and clean yet.

not one spec of tar on the car

decided to remove the front number plate ond found it looked quite good

had a few stickers laying around, maybe a daft punk fan :-D sooo.....

I have the same car, except mine isn't as clean :( haha, what did you use to clean the dashboard? It looks really good in that pic.

Normal car shampoo and a brillo pad. got into all the little bumps on the dash then just wiped clean. lot of dirt came off mine and i thought it was already clean. Left it looking spot on tho after

havnt been on this in a while, not much changed tho do have a few pics to update but need to take more of car now lol enjoy.

and some shiny ones lol

oh and the standard crappy steelies got the lips polished.... by hand lol voice opinions please

I used to have a 6n2 with stickers in the back window, I have a 9n1 now but to be honest, it doesn't drive half as good as the 6n2 :(

Well its been a long time since I've updated this thread and a she has experienced ups and downs :( however with a little magic all is well again.

Here is whats been going on since last time.

Me and the missus have been away in yorkshire.

This is the American diner on the A19 south

Further into the journey (near Hutton-le-hole) they were burning off the scrub land.

Sooo obv i needed a pic of the polo in the smoke....

Or two..

After getting back the clutch pedal decided to stick to the floor... made driving interesting....

So had a peep and the pedal box had failed... YEY!!!

so had to drive it to a mates unit with 4 rubber bands around my foot so i could pull the clutch back up lol

And started taking the car to bits.

After that F**k on I decided it was time to treat the girl.

yep painted some of the interior trim in Deep piano black and got to say it realy smartens it up inside.

Then had more problems as my hub decided it would only let me take 3 and a half nuts out... wasnt amused.

After (swearing and hammering later)..

Tadar!!!!

and then if that wasnt good enough the anti roll bar drop link decided to go bang too....

SOOOO after all that it turned out to be a good week as i was offered some Mk3 astra sport rims with 3 tires for £10!!!! all with 6-7mm tread!!

so got another tire and the fitted.

opinions???

i personaly think they look good :-D

however i wasnt going to keep them all plain silver, NO,NO,NO lol

as so after 3 hours they look like this.

still waiting for the paint to harden so i can refit them

shall take pics once they are back on and the car has had a clean toooo

well that car is keeping you busy haha! but thats cars! New wheels look nice after the refurb mate good job! Get some lows and your be there! Go for coils, trust me there worth the bit extra on money!
