Right going 45/50 on a 40 going round a bend... came to the end of the bend and a van is coming the other way and flashed me... then pulled over.. I kept going and didn't look back but if it was a police van what can they do... as its a big possibility that it was! :'(

Take it easy fella. If you can't performa a normal stop on your side of the road in the distance you can see to be clear, don't do that speed.

Your safe, even if it was the police they didn't pull you over and even if they knock on your door tomorrow they prove have to how fast you were going.

Many years ago when I was a bit of a Dick I came round a tight bend on a country lane and took the wing mirror off a panda car that happened to be coming the other way, I just kept my toe in it and didn't look back and never heard any thing from it. its very difficult to see the number plate of a car coming towards you at speed at night so if they didn't catch back up with you further down the road then you should be fine and even if they do knock on your door they have to some way prove how fast you were going.

Just take this as a lesson learned and take it a little easier in future if you don't want to go through this worrying again. I know I shit myself for a good week expecting a knock on the door after I pwned that wing mirror, although i'll be honest with you I'm pissing myself thinking about it again

I can point you in the direction of 2 people on Facebook who can verify my story by being in my car at the time, and 4 others who were up my arse in the car behind

If your mate really got banned it would he through him shitting himself and admitting what they accused him of. They have to prove you were breaking the law and unless you admit to it then there is very little chance of the popo being able to do that unless they have video evidence and even then its going to be difficult for them to prove any thing if you were both going in different directions.

if you were doing 5-10 miles per hour over the limit like you say they won't do shit and can't prove you were speeding.

They followed him home and left him to settle down to sleep, once they knew he was asleep they carefully broke in and crept up to his room.
