Hello all, recently sold my 1.2 Corsa, and bought this Polo GTI 6N2 for £2000 on 96k miles, full leather interior, air con and heated seats etc, really good spec.

Is in really nice condition for the age and other than a few car park dings and dents here and there everything else is good!

This was it at the start before starting the mods:

First of all de-badged the rear, sprayed the front badge black and added a red grill trim around the front grill which looks quite tidy :)

I also deleted the back wiper and used a blanking grommet but am going to get a glass insert to fit nicely in the hole

Next came the lowering, as i am on quite a tight budget but wanted coilovers i didn't have a massive amount to fork out on expensive ones, so purchased some Jom Bluelines which arrived super quick, so got them fitted on with the help of some mates as soon as they arrived :) took quite a while but in the end got there and looks so much better...

touched the brake calipers up with some red paint whilst the wheels were off:

Got the old suspension off

and fitted the new

Now this is how the car sits, not sure on exactly how low it is or how much its been lowered by but i quite like the way it is at the moment

And did a nice little edit :)

Next to come are wheels but cannot find any nice ones for the right price at the moment...More to come soon....

So, added some stickers to the side and rear window the other day, (ClubPolo)

plus ordered a new Alpine head unit which should be here today.

Have sprayed the interior door handles gloss black to match the curve on top of the speedo and clocks on the GTI, which look good, just need one more coat of lacquer then ill get some photos of them inside the car :)

Still on the lookout for some nice deep dish style wheels, but something different, everyone seems to have similar wheels :/

i can imagine putting the coilovers on took some time if your suspension was anything like mine

thanks man :) yeah they are nice, firm and bouncy, i dont see or feel anything wrong with them considering they were only 200 quid :)

need some help with what wheels i should buy, not sure what deep dish style wheels would look good on the car?

Looks really tidy! Definately a fan of the red trim around the grill! Why not have a look in the photogallery for some wheel inspiration

So Got a few more small updates,

Got some Retro Fit VW Aero Wiper Blades & New Genuine VW Centre Caps for the wheels, and gave them all a good clean

New K&N Panel Filter to replace the old grubby one

Also sprayed the badge on the back gloss black to match the front, looks tidyy :)

Still looking for some nice wheels to set the car off but the little things make a small difference

yeah just peel it off then dismantle the vw sign from the backing plate then spray away :) easy job

Soo haven't updated the thread in a while but done a few bits and bobs, new wheels, new leathers and tidied things up a little :)

So out with the old leathers and in with some new ones ill get some photos soon :)

On to the new wheels, picked up some Borbet T's 14 inch 8J all round running 195.45 stretched on..look really good in my opinion just need to sort out stance after arches are rolled and get some camber on the go!

kept the wheels for winter and swapped the seats with a polo my dad had, thats how i got the new leathers :) win!

Found the camera at last and got some alright pictures of the new leathers, headrests and interior which looks pretty tidy now!

Also sprayed my rear view mirror black which looks much better from outside and smoked my side indicators with tinting spray.

Just tidying everything else up now and hopefully get my arches rolled soon for more lows and better stance out back :)
