Thought i would start a build thread for my storm grey 6n polo . I swapped tis with a dude on here ( trackrat ) for my mk3 golf gti about a year ago now . it had a few things wrong when i got it but nothing major apart from the dent in the side that i know about before i swappede so no problem there it can easily be sorted . I had to get a drivers side door card , drivers side seat , a dark parcel shelf , a dash centre trim as it was cracked , the seat runner covers for both sides and front brake pads nothing to much .

this is how it looked when i got it .

spec as it was

bad boy bonnet , ta tecnics coilovers , gloss black solitudes , 6n2 all red rears , smoothed body work , smoked side repeaters , smoked headlights , debadged grill , debaged boot , stardard 1.6 engine , areo flat wiper blades , rear wiper removed and a few other things that i cant remember .

no now it off the road as it has gone seriously wrong , i had the cambelt done and the bottom crack case seal broke so it was parked up for 3 weeks till i could get it done , after this it would not start on the key had to be bump started everywhere i went , both out cv jonits have gone , te exhaust has snapped at the back box , the manifold has cracked , all the brakes are shot , need to get headlight glass both sides as when they were split to be smoked they were broken , need new coilovers as the rears have punched through , need 2 new tyres , and some other bits and pices i want to change on it .

I've already got some bits for it just collecting bits at the moment then ill just but it together in a week or so went I'm off work , then get some more bits and do it all again .

so far i have :

second hand un cracked exhaust manifold

start switch ( hoping thats the problem )

6n2 polo gti BBS RXII

backbox on the way as i write this

coilovers should be ordered in 3 weeks time , then just have to save to have the dent sorted out .

then ill see what else i want to do with it , maybe refurb the rxII i have seen a nice pearl pink or sunburst candy yellow that i like but thats in the future lol . ill keep you all updated as i go along . comments welcome . Thanks Dave

I've done the cambelt , front brakes , 4 new tyres , sorted the interior bits that wre broke or missing , had 2 sets of wheels rs4 replicas in 16" form and now the bbs rxII , crystal clear indicators and side repeaters and legal pressed metal plates and but a few stickers here and there , thats about it but thats about to change lol .

Right peeps , i today i got the front end out the car a swapped the manifold for my new one and lucky me not one of the bolts or studs snapped . i got the slam panel back in it then gave up for the day to hit the pub with the missus for dinner lol . ill get some pictures up soon . Dave

I guys i have got some second coilovers in good nick now and brought 2 x brand new cv joints outer and 2 x new inner cv boots . o ye i also got ibiza clocks and am doing a deal on the reat so the dash lights up red totally . il get some pics when i put it out the garage of it now . Dave
