Hey there

I have no idea if this has been bought up before but I'm trying to fit a sub and amp in my car but have no idea where to thread the powercable through the engine into my car I heard that I could use the gromit right next to the water coolant where there are a bunch of wires going in but when trying to do that it just doesn't go through the chunky wall soft stuff which I think is the firewall is there any other way to get the power cable through?? I have a 1.4 6n2 polo.

Any help would be great

This certainly has been asked before.

The grommit will push through, try doing it from the inside of the car under the glove box and push it into the engine bay, rather then the other way around as this is much easier.

Cheers mate, I haven't actually tried that, where should try pushing it through cause I have the glovebox half off but there's just aload of sound deadening in the way, just a case of trial and error I'm guessing.

Not sure with 6n2's maybe a case of poking and proding , My 9n tdi was a bitch for it took ages! so much crap in the way then it had to come down the dash...

Cheers for the replies guys, in the end i just drilled a little hole through the firewall just inside the grommit where a load of wires are and then looked for it in the glove box area it took about 20mins, so yeah drilling a hole does save a f***ing load of time lol cheers for the help guys

on my 6n2 managed to force mine through a grommit with a lubed up pokey stick, its an arse to do though!
