80/60 isn't that low and you won't be scrapping on floor with that.

I dunno I think realistically I want to get adjustable coilovers so then I can change my mind :)

You can get a set of eBay for 165 delivered. Also saw a set on here for 120 other day :)

But for that money your not going to get a comfortable ride. Being height adjustable is all very well, but how often are you realistically going to want to change the ride height? If 60/40 is all you want, decent shocks and springs are your best bet. You could keep your eye out for coilovers to come up 2nd hand if you can't afford big money, but then you risk them not lasting as long

When it comes to suspension, you really do get what you pay for. If you can put up with shite comfort, then go cheap. But from experience of cheap kits, the crashy ride was more than enough to put me off. My cheap kit also didn't last very long. Bare in mind the additional wear all that crashing around will do to other components too. I've gone for -40mm on standard shocks. The stance is awesome, and will be better with the new tyres. Not sure about comfort ATM as it's not on the road yet. But by accounts, it should be ok. The widened track I have should make up for the soft ride when it comes to handling too. It cost me nothing either (re-used my cheap kit springs!)

tbh if you want handling you dont want to go too low anyway. my old gt was lowered 40mm on gmax springs, used g40 rear springs and std dampers all round. best handling polo I've had! the 6n i had years ago was dropped 40mm on gmax springs and shocks, still pretty cheap, but gave a reasonable ride. if it were me i would spend the money on a good quality spring and shock kit of the 60/40 variety. it won't be 'scene low', but it will be low enough to look good and will be so much more comfortable than a coilover kit of similar price.
