Right, my gf's mother has a new model civic that she sometimes asks me to drive for her, "go move the car while I take this in the house" or "you can take my car if putting that in your car will make your tyres rub" etc.

Now, she has fully comp insurance, and I have fully comp insurance with an "any other car as long as it has insurance in someone else's name" clause too.

Assuming her insurance doesn't have a "no drivers under 25" clause, I'm covered by my insurance to drive her car, right?

I know it'll only be third party insurance in that case, and if I stack it I'll be paying for it then.

Definately check with your insurance. Policies tend to say it's fine on the cover note then on page 9 section 6566 paragraph 85858 in miniscule print, say you can't if you're under 25.

I tend to tell the insurance that I'm recording the call if I'm asking them anything, makes them think before going "Yeah that's fine"
