Same here, but i'm a wagon driver so tend to drive my car the same, if i had a hot G40 i'd still be sitting in the inside lane doing 60

my mk2 easily sits at 85-90, I'm sure your 1 litre should be fine. shouldnt be much less bhp than my 1.3 lol

Strip out the back seats, that might make it light enough though his 1.0l engine is probably not supplying the infinite energy needed.

I drove from Cambridge to Yarmouth on saturday, and did the return leg yesterday.

My little 6N coped more than fine, sat the speedo at an indicated 80mph and it was fine, faster in some places but 5k rpm isn't enjoyable.

As said, maintain your car well and it pays dividens, mine is very well-maintained and it could sit at that speed all day with no problems. Until fuel ran out.

Mine was at 4k RPM at 70, get's quite noisey but will be fine! Like people have said just don't push it as it will sounds as though it will blow up and also use more fuel lol.

not exactly, was loads of traffic both ways. Typical knobbers over-taking one car at a time, then darting in before a head on :-D

drive at whatever you feel confortable at personally i like sitting in the far lane less plebs to deal with that way

Theoretically, if you did manage to travel at the speed of light, you wouldnt actually create a black hole anyhow, just saying... :p

I had some concerns about this too! Should not have worried myself, ok getting up to speed is the issue, but after a few seconds you're rolling with everybody else, they aren't the quietest of cars sitting at 4,000RPM, as said; ensure all fluids are filled and you're fine. And if you're not in a rush, sit at 55/60 and save a bit of fuel.

You my friend have obviously never truly experienced a 1L, the people that have know it makes more noise when you put your foot down haha

I averaged about 70-80mph in my 6n2 1.0ltr for around 5hours trip down south.. sure you will be fine.. just give it a service and check before you go

nah ull be fine 1l 6n2 at 70 mph constant for four and a bit hours and absolutely now problems, only problem was it was loud!

just make sure you are oil is at the maximum level before u set off both ways, i made that mistake and the car drank its fuel as if it was doin a higher speed in 4th!

Nah, trust me, you wouldnt. Its very very very hard not to go out and play

Over 9000mph.

But yeah, between 60-70 is my normal speed in my 1l!

65 seemed the best for fuel economy in my 1L 6n2 with 4 people, luggage and sub boxes in the boot. No problems at all but I wish my fart cannon had a mute button :/

I try to stay at 60 because if I go faster I start getting annoyed by the noisy exhaust! :)

I cant stand it when people do less than 65, i reckon that's way more dangerous than doing 100 these days, even the lorries do 70.
